Tokyo Kyukyodo (Ginza Main Store) (東京鳩居堂 銀座本店)
4.0
This longstanding store in Ginza specializes in incense, stationary, and Japanese paper products. They originally opened in Kyoto as a pharmacy in 1663, then eventually switched to selling incense and stationary. Seeking to preserve traditional Japanese culture their products serve to show off the skills of the craftsmen that make them. They offer writing paper, postcards, Japanese paper crafts, and incense which make fantastic gifts, as well as calligraphy tools recommended by masters of the art.

Tokyo Areas

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
