A convention center capable of hosting domestic and international trade fairs, product fairs, exhibitions, events, and meetings. There’s always a host of fun programs being conducted at Makuhari Messe. In addition to 11 exhibition halls, there’s also numerous conference rooms, restaurants, and other facilities; the size of the structure will astound you. The shortest access routes for international exhibition halls 1-8 and 9-11, the Makuhari Event Hall, and the international conference rooms all differ, so be sure to check where the event you’re interested in is before heading out.

Makuhari Messe looked a little shabby compared to Tokyo Big Site. The site was big enough but it looked so much outdated.

This business area—IKSPIARI—is divided into nine zones according to theme, with 140 charming restaurants and shops to make a street filled with entertainment and fun. The centrally-located square is reminiscent of the outdoor amphitheaters of Europe, and is home to many events. There is also a movie theater, so you can enjoy a meal, shopping, and a movie—perfect for kids and adults.

It was really crowded everywhere, impossible to walk into a restaurant. At popular meal times, there would be queues of at least 10 parties. Even at a timing of 2pm for lunch, there were still queues...

Naritasan Shinshoji Temple is a lead temple in the Chisan school of Shingon located in Narita, Chiba Prefecture. In order to suppress a revolt by Tairano Masakado which broke out in the Heian period, it began with the fact that Kobo Daishi was spiritually enlightened by the high priest Kancho as Acala was enshrined and became the principal image of worship at the temple. Many well-known figures had strong faith including such figures as Minamotono Yoritomo, Mito Mitsukuni and Ichikawa Danjuro, and Narita Fudo prompted many commoners to have faith. On the grounds of the temple, there are very big gardens maintained which cover an area of approximately 3.5 times that of Tokyo Dome, and you can see seasonal plants in the garden.

    安政年間に本堂として建てられ、大本堂が建てられた昭和期に現在の地に移築されました。本堂として建てられたとしたら、少し小ぶりかなと感じます。現在の本堂の西側に在ります。

In this park are transplanted all of the cherry trees that were about to be lost during the construction of Narita International Airport. Many people visit this park, located on an elevated knoll, where airplane takeoffs and landings can be watched up close while viewing the beautiful cherry blossoms.

A great spot to come and see the planes take off and land. Beautiful to visit during Sakura season and autumn but really good all year round for the planes!

The Museum of Aeronautical Sciences is the place to learn about the science of aviation and aviation technology. Museum visitors can enjoy the outdoor exhibition plaza, which displays Cessnas, helicopters, and other aircraft. The indoor portion of the museum contains exhibits of aviation-related art and serves as the site for pre-licensing seminars for aspiring aeronautical radio operators. The museum shop sells scale models of aircraft and a large selection of other aviation-related souvenirs and novelties.

Big & spacious place to walk around to view the aeroplanes. I did not buy tickets to enter the building. I just hung around outside & walked around to peek into the aeroplanes.

"Kiyomizu-dera Temple is located near Otowa no Mori Park in Kamone, Misaki-cho, in the city of Isumi. It has long history, having been built in 807 by Sakanoue no Tamuramaro. Its principal votive figure is the Thousand-Armed Kannon, and this temple is the 32nd of the 33 places sacred to the bodhisattva Kannon in Bando (the old name for the Kanto Region). Within the precincts are sculptures of the 47 samurai of the Ako domain whose plot to avenge their lord was immortalized in the play ""Chushingura."""

You can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the area around Mt. Nokogiri from the car. Also, Mt. Nokogiri was selected as one of “Kanto’s Top 100 Fuji Views.” If you make use of the early morning service on New Year’s Day, you can enjoy a great view of the “Red Fuji” sunrise.

With 500 yen it saves you from puffing up the hill. Nice views on the ropeway car. Once you get off at the hill top, head to the observatory above the station for a small souvenir counter and a small...

The shops and restaurants at Roadside Station Chikura Shiokaze Okoku rest area sell popular unique souvenirs and novelty items typical of the southern Boso Peninsula and the town of Chikura. Visiting motorists can buy fresh fish caught in the nearby waters, unique processed seafood, and local souvenirs. One of the many restaurants affords diners views of the Pacific, while another shop serves “hegisoba,” a noodle dish made with the funori plant, and another is famous for its sazae (a kind of turban shell) croquettes.
