- Hokkaido Sapporoshi Chuou-ku Kitaichijounishi 2-chome Former Sapporo Agricultural College Demonstration Center
- The clock tower familiarly, called “Sapporo Clock Tower” was originally constructed as a drill hall for the former Sapporo Agricultural College, the predecessor of Hokkaido University. Originally there was no bell tower but only a mechanism of pulling a rope to ring a small bell, however, the bell tower was constructed in 1881 under the direction of the Governor Kiyotaka Kuroda and since then a Howard pendulum type clock has been in use. It is about 10 minutes on foot from the nearest Odoori Station. The first floor serves as a museum displaying the history of the clock tower and on the second floor you can experience the atmosphere of the historic drill hall and view the workings of the clock.
-
Was surprised at how small the clock tower is but its neat. There some sort of a museum inside. We didnt have time so we didnt go inside,i am sure it would have been interesting.

- Hokkaido University, which first opened as Sapporo Agriculture College in 1876. After that, it has made a great contribution not only to agriculture, but also to the development of Hokkaido. The words Professor Clark left for his students on his departure from Sapporo “Boys be ambitious!” remain as the university’s motto today. The university grounds are enormous, the Sapporo campus being approximately 1.77 million square meters, which is the size of 38 Tokyo Dome baseball stadiums. Walking around the nature-filled campus with its avenues lined with poplars and elm forests is an enjoyable experience.

The foaming, boiling scenery led to it being called Demon-dwelling Hell. It's also a perfect autumn leaf viewing spot, when the hillsides are painted red with autumn colors.

- Moerenuma Park is a comprehensive park in northeast Sapporo for which globally renowned sculptor Isamu Noguchi created the basic design. Based on the concept of “the whole being a single sculpture,” it was recommended to build on a site where 2.7 million tons of waste had been put in landfill, and the park opened in 2005. Hills with geometric forms, fountains, and play equipment have been arranged in a vast site equivalent to 40 Tokyo Domes, allowing a landscape that fuses art and nature to be enjoyed. Another attraction is that seasonal pastimes can be enjoyed with cherry blossoms in the spring, water activities in the summer, autumn leaves in the fall, and cross country skiing in the winter.
