Beautiful place to admire the beauty of the forest, waterfall & cave. Good to drive to get there. It should take less than 15 minutes to complete the walk from the start to the end.

お正月の昼過ぎにステーキをいただきました。20分程待合いスペースで順番を待ちました。レジでお支払いしてから、山と空がきれいに見える窓際の席へ。お料理の提供時間はそれほどかからず、見ていると回転も悪くないようでした。アルパカのカレーが可愛らしく、自家製ソーセージも合わせて次回のお楽しみにしたいと思います。

This ropeway connects Sanroku Station of Futtsu City’s Kanaya with Sancho Station on top of Mt. Nokogiri. It is a four-minute ride, with 15-minute waits between cars, and it operates year-round (though it is closed for inspection for a part of January every year.) You can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the area around Mt. Nokogiri from the car. Also, Mt. Nokogiri was selected as one of “Kanto’s Top 100 Fuji Views.” If you make use of the early morning service on New Year’s Day, you can enjoy a great view of the “Red Fuji” sunrise.

Its Katakura Dam Memorial Hall has displays on the construction of the dam, its features, and information about the topography and geology of the area.

The local line which opened in 1899 and then opened in 1988 as the Isumi Railroad, formerly the JR Kihara Line, is a line on the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture linking to Otaki-machi, Isumi City. The line extends for approximately 27 kilometers from Kazusa-Nakano to Ohara. Popular with people travelling on the train, lunch boxes can be booked up to 13:00, two days in advance for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The KiHa gourmet train and restaurant are also popular.

"This roadside station is located along the Otaki Highway, and sells fresh local agricultural products including log-cultivated mushrooms and wild boar meat, processed goods, local sake and ice cream. The adjoining cafeteria offers menu items such as set meals using Otaki-grown rice including the ""Takeyura Gozen"" with Otaki-grown bamboo shoots and wild boar meat cooked with egg. It also sells bento lunch boxes with the local specialty of ""matsuri-zushi"" (sushi made for special occasions)."

Original Maker Umizuri Koen is a sea fishing facility located inside Yorogawa Seaside Park. Visitors can enjoy sea fishing on a wharf with guardrails that extends into the water parallel to the shore. There are also shops that sell or rent fishing gear, restaurants, and toilets available. Since the wharf is well monitored and a monitor staff is stationed, this facility is easy for families and beginners to use. This is a city-sponsored public facility, so it is available for experiential field trips by elementary and middle school groups. Among the regular events held here are fishing contests, fishing lessons, and releases of young fish into the sea.

たまたま近くを通ったので立ち寄りました。たくさんの種類の湯船がありゆったりとお湯につかれました。料金は大人だと平日890円、土日祝日は990円で営業時間は深夜1時までとそれほど悪くない感じです。食事はしませんでしたがそれなりにメニュー豊富で美味しそうでした。機会あればまた来ても良い場所ですね。

First and foremost, the diverse exhibits are endlessly fascinating, but you will also find a museum shop with an array of local Ichihara products and original goods with the museum logo. And you can enjoy a great pizza restaurant that uses mainly ingredients from Boso.

This souvenir shop is filled with over 3,000 Boso souvenirs, including Chiba Prefecture's famous loquats and peanuts. The edible bamboo charcoal peanuts, only available here; and the seasonal Yachimata-grown in-shell peanuts are particularly popular. You can find many other products which exude the charms of Boso here, as well, including pickled rapeseed blossoms; loquat jellies; and merchandise featuring Kananyan, the official mascot of the Kanaya district. The shop is located in The Fish facing Tokyowan Ferry Kanaya Port, making it easy to stop by here when heading home after a day of exploring Chiba.
