    A Japanese confectioner which first opened in 1869. The continue to use the same techniques that they used in the Edo period to make well-known traditional Kumagaya sweets. They produce natural, nutritious, additive and artificial-coloring free treats that are popular for their simple nostalgic flavors. Confections they sell include Gokabou, a deluxe Gokabou called Shorai, and Futomaki.

    A western-style confectioner marked by their stylish western-style building. They usually have over 100 different treats available including fresh sweets and baked goods. Their chiffon cake, brandy cake, and fresh fruit roll cake are very popular and highly recommended. For a decorated cake a reservation must be made at least three days in advance.

    籠原駅から歩いて20分くらいにあるロードサイドの洋菓子店。喫茶コーナーがあって、熊谷名物の雪ん子もやってます。 私は、アイスバーを一つ。みかんが美しくトッピングされていて、ユニークな品ぞろえも特徴です。

    A traditional Japanese confectioner that first opened in 1887. They made and produced the first Gokabou local Saitama sweet then spelled with different kanji characters that promised luck. In addition to the Kumagaya staple, Gokabou Kinako, made with high quality soy beans and mochi rice, and their rich, fragrant, high-quality Gokabou Uguisu, made with valuable green soybeans, they also offer a variety of seasonal treats.

    A confectioner that first opened in 1952. Their obsession over ever red bean and every grain of rice resulted in their famous Jumangoku Manjuu bun. This manjuu also won the Japanese Gift Grand Prize 2018 Saitama Award. They also offer a wide variety of other products including Japanese confections, western-style baked treats, treats for both happy or solemn occasions, special store only products, and seasonal sweets.

    文化財でもある本店にてコマーシャルで心引かれる台詞「うまい、うますぎる」埼玉県民であったかたなら一度は耳にする昔よりしられた和菓子屋さんですが、洋菓子もあります。 饅頭は昔ながらのとくに特徴はないものですが、数年前にドラマで一躍有名になったので、それで知った方も多いでしょうね。

    This Japanese confectionery store is located in Chuo 3-chome, Honjo City. It is a long-established business founded in 1916, and its delicious “Bushu Kuri Yokan” is a famous local specialty. It's a highly regarded as a neri-yokan (sweet bean jellies) with large chestnuts inside and has won the Prime Minister's Award at the National Confectionery Exposition.

    本庄のゆるキャラわっふるです。味は柚子、珈琲、小豆の3種類です。私は柚子党なのでこれを自分のものとして、残りを妻や娘へお土産にしました。

    コロナ限定解除下でディナーの後に寄りました。ケー系やアイスだけでなく和菓子も工場直送販売でとても安く、尚且つ高品質で販売しています。今回は抹茶アイス、牛乳アイス、濃厚シフォンケーキ。マカロン、ピーチケーキで大満足。クレジットカードもお店オリジナルポイント制度もあり。美味しい。
