    This science hall is in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture. It has a variety of facilities including a planetarium and astronomical observatory, with exhibitions of astronomical materials. There are also exhibits and research into power, light, the atmosphere, water, life, and more. There is an automatic model railway, too, so there are all kinds of study and activity to look into. What's more, there are science shows and events on holidays.

    A doll museum showing off the outstanding collection of the Togyoku Doll manufacturer. The collection on display includes Gosho Ningyo palace dolls, Hina dolls, traditional Hagoita battledore rackets, Gogatsu Ningyo warrior dolls, Isho Ningyo fashion dolls, puppets, and karakuri Japanese automata, and includes masterpieces by modern master craftsmen and even foreign dolls. You can take a tour of the doll workshops, try a doll making class, and also purchase popular Japanese-style accessories.

    A museum located in Gyoda City which flourished from the late Edo period to the mid Showa period as a producer of Japanese Tabi socks. The building was formerly the tabi factory for a tabi shop called Makino Honten but after the building was no longer used it was converted into the museum in 2005 leaving most of the factory the way it was. The museum has exhibits as well as demonstrations by former tabi craftsmen.

    This museum is located on the ground of Mitsumine Shrine in Mitsumine, Chichibu City. As well as writings pertaining to the shrine’s worship of wolves, believed to be servants of the gods, there are various treasures belonging to the shrine on permanent display. There are also items on display in connection with the Chichibu no miya branch of the imperial family, including gifts presented to the shrine from them.

    This botanical garden is located in Musashi Kyuryo National Forest Park in the Yamata, Namegawa Town, Hiki County. It is located in the center of a vast site that is 65 times the area of Tokyo Dome. Herb gardens, border flower beds, maple gardens, etc. are maintained in an area that covers about 450,000 square meters, and various plants can be seen in each season. The exhibition building has a botanical shop that sells souvenirs, coffee and cake sets.

    草加駅から徒歩5分ほど。入館無料。建物は隣接する草加小学校の西校舎を改修したもの。1926年に建てられた埼玉県初の鉄筋コンクリート造校舎で国の登録有形文化財。展示室(元教室)には遺跡の出土品、農具・民具、草加宿に関する資料などを展示。焼き台や押し瓦などせんべい製造用の道具も展示されているのが草加らしさを感じさせた。展示ケースの清掃が不十分で、あちこちに手跡が付いていたのが残念。

    川越の蔵造りの町並みの一角にあるスタイリッシュな外観の建物です。館内には、川越藩の御用絵師であった舩津蘭山の絵画が展示されています。自然を繊細なタッチで描いた蘭山の絵は、見ていてとても落ち着きますし魅せられました。全国的に知名度は低いようですが、川越では有名な絵師のようです。

    体育館で卓球、バドミントン、バスケット、一輪車、竹馬、マット運動など、日曜に楽しめ、お昼前は親子でできます。 狭くなるときがありますが、譲り合って、楽しくできます。 イベントで映画も見れたり、プラネタリウムもみれたりします。 その時は、肌寒い感じがするので薄手の上着を持っていくとよいです。

    こちらは東京外環道戸田西IC近くにあります。 建物は1階-5階までありますが、このご時世なので1階と5階が解放されていました。 1階は水槽に入った魚・亀などが飼育されており観察できます。 5階が荒川についての治水の歴史と隣の彩湖の仕組み・役割などが展示されており勉強になりました。 また、屋上から見た景色も良かったです。（富士山は雲があって見えませんでした）
