    Ibaraki Natural Museum, opened in 1994, is a new type of natural science museum. In addition to the normal exhibitions of natural history materials there are also outdoor facilities in the area covering 15.8 hectares, including trampolines, and water parks to keep children happily amused. The mini aquarium displaying creatures from Ibaraki’s rivers and sea is also popular.

    "A large park with spacious grounds spanning 25 hectares. The park encloses several historic structures, including the Nakayama Residence, a large farmhouse built in the mid-Edo period; and the Tobita Residence, the oldest ""magariya""-style building in the prefecture. The park is also a renowned destination for flower viewing, and some 1,500 flowering peach trees spanning five varieties grow on the grounds, in addition to a lotus pond in which grow Oga lotuses, an ancient lotus variety. The Koga Peach Festival is held at the park each year when the trees are in bloom, attracting many visitors who come to enjoy the beauty of the flowers."

    3月は桃と桜が満開で見頃です。土日はとても混みますが平日はゆっくり見れますよ! Good season is March! Becose fulled bloom on March. This place best recommend!

    茨城県立ミュージアムパークから遊歩道でつながっていました。釣り堀があり、子供連れで賑わっていました。小動物や鳥などもいて、気分が良かったです。今回は、残念ながら時間がなかったので、次回は、釣り堀にも行きたいと思います。

    A museum dedicated to preserving Yuki-tsumugi pongee for future generations located a 10-minute walk from the north exit of JR Yuki Station. The museum's grounds enclose several elegant kominka (old Japanese-style house) repurposed into an exhibition hall, shop, and museum hall. Handed down from generation to generation, Yuki-tsumugi was born of human ingenuity and cultivated by the natural abundance of the area. Enwrapped in the museum's quiet, calming atmosphere, visitors can experience the history and beauty of this craft, in addition to being able to purchase high quality silk Yuki-tsumugi goods which are perfect for gifts. There's also a gallery / cafe on the grounds housed in a remodeled old combined shop and house (Misegura) where visitors can enjoy a cup of tea while taking in a standing exhibit.

    An art museum which preserves and displays works of art by artists connected to Chikusei City such as potter Itaya Hazan and painter Morita Shigeru. The museum is located on the third floor of the Chiiki Koryu Center Arterio down Prefectural Route 305 traveling from JR Shimodate Station. Distinguished by its glass exterior, visitors can also enjoy the sight of Mt. Tsukuba and the surrounding scenery from the building's lobby and sky promenade. In addition to its standing exhibition, the museum holds special exhibitions, workshops, artwork appreciation meets, and a full array of other events. Easily accessible and casual in atmosphere, the museum also serves as a community gathering space.

    下館駅から徒歩10分弱。しもだて地域交流センター「アルテリオ」の3階にある。 入館料は所蔵品展のみの場合は210円、訪館した時は企画展「関由香写真展 ねこうらら」が開催されており600円となっていた。展示室は4室あるが3室は企画展で使用されていたため所蔵品の展示はわずか。作品保護のためと思われるが、所蔵品展の照明は暗くかなり鑑賞しにくかった。

    An art museum along Edomachi-dori Street in Chuo-cho 2-Chome, Koga City. It has a permanent exhibition featuring paintings and other work by artists with ties to Koga City. They rent out the second floor of the facility as a public gallery.

    篆刻美術館の隣にある赤い建物が古河街角美術館です。に古河市ゆかりの作家を中心に作品が展示されています。入場無料ですこじんまりとした規模ですが、意外と楽しめました。

    Navel Park located in Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture is a park as well as a leisure facility. It has a camping site equipped with log cabin-style cabins and a barbeque area where equipment is for lease. It also includes a free-of-charge athletics playground, a colorful day lily garden, a grass area, an underground maze with an entry fee, and a pony ranch. At the craft building, you can also experience painting and pottery making and have lunch at a soba noodle restaurant or a bakery so it can be enjoyed as a day trip as well as overnight.

    A park designated a Prefectural Historic Site encompassing the site of Sakasai Castle, a plains castle constructed in the late Warring States period. Built in 1577 by the Later Hojo clan to serve as a base for their expansion into northern Kanto, the castle was destroyed by the mighty samurai lord Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1590 and abandoned. Today, the outer moat and portions of the castle base still remain in an untouched state. Castle facilities such as the main gate, bridge, walls, main building, and two-tier tower have been reconstructed in based on archeological excavations, showing what the castle looked like in its heyday and giving visitors the chance to feel like they've gone back in time. Some 200 cherry trees grow on the grounds, including Beni Sashima cherries, an endemic Ibaraki variety, and the park is a top local destination for viewing cherry blossoms in the spring.

They also exhibit the work of artists with ties to the region, such as Goseda Horyu ll and Yokoyama Taikan. There is also a library, a media hall, and an astronomical observatory.

    年に数度は訪れる。その理由は,特別展。地域に根ざしたテーマで,十分に調査を尽くした展示。ここにくるとますます地域を誇れるようになる。図書館も利用しやすく,すばらしい。

At the campground's barbecue ground and barbecue house, campers can rent equipment such as steel plates and colanders for barbecuing. The campground also has a multipurpose ground and tennis courts and can be used for Kids' club and workplace retreats in addition to family camping trips.

The club also offers horseback archery using real bows and arrows. The club rents the appropriate archery wear and equipment and instruction is provided personally by the club president. Thanks to exposure via SNS, there are many participants from foreign countries as well.

    A strawberry farm located 500 meters west of the Kujira Intersection on National Route 294. Once the plants begin to bear fruit, the farm uses no agricultural chemicals whatsoever, aiming to produce safe, healthy strawberries using only temperature and water management alone. From January to the end of May, the farm offers Tochiotome strawberry picking. The farm works to ensure everyone can enjoy strawberry picking. All of the farm's strawberries are grown using raised planters, making picking a breeze; the wide lanes between planters also ensure persons using wheelchairs and strollers can easily enter. The farm's shop sells its strawberries as well as strawberries for making jams, not normally sold in supermarkets; and tomatoes from Ishige Farm.

There's also a planned exhibit room, a lecture hall, and a hands-on-learning and study room. The Yokose Yau Memorial Room displays the handwritten manuscripts of Yokose Yau, a poet from the city.

Yuki-tsumugi pongee is the oldest variety of silk fabric in Japan, and it's been registered as an UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. The facility has yuki-tsumugi related exhibits, demonstrations of the silk making process, etc. They also sell pongee silk and hold hands-on weaving workshops.

    訪問したのですが、到着前から雨がポツポツと天候が今一つな為、断念してカートに変更してのラウンド。 コース自体はあまり期待していなかったのですが、グリーンが小さい以外は概ね整備状況も良く、また水捌けも良好で楽しめました! カートはナビが無いのでブラインドのホールでは前の組の位置を把握出来ない場所が何ヵ所か有りました。 色々なクチコミに「詰めすぎ」「ラウンドに時間が掛かりすぎる」「昼休憩が長すぎ」等々...
