    An amusement facility surrounded by forest where visitors can enjoy pools and hot spring baths together with the seasonal beauty of the Okukuji area. The facility is located close to the last stop of the bus for Forespa-Daigo leaving from Hitachi-Daigo Station on the JR Suigun Line. The indoor facilities make use of piping hot water from the hot springs of Daigo and include a 25-meter pool, tube slide, and various saunas, ensuring there's something for people of all ages. The bade zone has facilities for promoting health and beauty such as a lie-down bath and water walking pool. There's also an indoor bath and restaurant which can be used while wearing a swimsuit.

    近隣で食事をした後、運動がてら行ってきました。屋内プールで温泉施設もあり、プールで体が冷えた際は、すぐに温められるので非常に良いと思いました。

    A park situated along National Route 205 a 20-minute drive from Hitachi-Daigo Station on the JR Suigun Line in Kuji County, Ibaraki Prefecture. Serving as a center for Okukuji tea, which began being cultivated in the area in the Edo period, the park has a 3,000 square meter tea field and tea house where visitors can enjoy an authentic tea ceremony. The park also offers activities like tea picking, tea ceremony classes, and soba noodle making. The adjoining Japanese paper doll Museum - So Yamaoka theater displays pieces by Japanese paper doll artist So Yamaoka.

    公営の施設です。2月のはじめ、いたるところにひな人形が飾られていて、それは見事な景観でした。これだけのひな飾りをすることが驚きです。山岡草和紙人形館の常設展示は雪がテーマでした。雪国で暮らすほっこり感が気持ちを温めてくれました。外では、フクジュソウが咲き始めています。春ですね。

There are eight clay and artificial turf tennis courts; a gymnasium equipped for futsal, basketball, badminton, running, and other sports; and a fitness room which can be used for meetings and yoga. There's also a 25-meter pool and children's pool only open in summer.

    A riverside campground located a 12-minute walk from Kami-Ogawa Station on the JR Suigun Line in Ibaraki Prefecture. The campground has around 120 campsites as well as several bungalows with electric lights and outlets. At the campground's barbecue area, campers can rent lanterns and grilling plates as well as fishing rods and sets for pounding mochi rice cakes. The campground's shop also sells food supplies and charcoal. The shop's smooth, flavorful white pudding, sold since 2011, has become quite famous.

    個人的に日本一と思えるローラー滑り台があります。長さも長く、ジェットコースターみたいにストンと落ちる個所有りで、かなりスリリング。子どもは大喜びすること間違いなしです。虫の形をした複合遊具もおもしろいですし、子連れで行くのをおススメします。

    A tourist-oriented fruit farm located in the Nakazato district on the northern side of Hitachi City 15 kilometers from the Hitachi-chuo interchange on the Joban Expressway. Here visitors can enjoy picking apples, grapes, blueberries, and other fruit. The grounds enclose around 30 separate Eco Farmer-certified fruit farms, each of which allows tourists to go fruit picking. Visitors can pick apples from early September to early December, grapes from early September to early October, and blueberries from June to August. The individual farms also make their fruit available for sale and offer shipping.

    An apple orchard located in Daigo Town in the Okukuji region identifiable by its vivid scarlet sage flowers. The orchard grows over 20 varieties of apples and visitors can enjoy apple picking here from late September until the end of November. The orchard doesn't close during this period; the varieties which visitors can pick will differ depending on the time. The orchard offers all-you-can-eat apple samples as well as bags and boxes which visitors can stuff with apples to take home with them. The orchard also offers shipping within the local region. In addition, visitors can barbecue Hitachi beef while sipping wine and purchase homemade breads, apple pies, and jams made with the orchard's apples.

    紅葉狩りに奥久慈方面へ行ったところ、まだ木々は色づいていませんでしたがりんごが真っ赤になったのが見れて感動しました!りんご園の立地は山を少し登ったところで周りには何もなく自然満喫が出来、とてもよかったです。

    "A science museum located inside the Hitachi Civic Center a three-minute walk from JR Hitachi Station. Fun for adults as well as children, here visitors can touch (and listen) as well as look thanks to the museum's numerous interactive exhibits. Exhibits include an Ames room and mannerism gallery which create optical illusions, and a pitch dark ""echoless"" chamber in which no sounds from the outside can be heard. Visitors can also get a spectacular view of the city, surrounding mountains, and Pacific Ocean from the 10th floor roof. The museum's shop sells dinosaur merchandise and tools and sets for conducting experiments at home."

    This is a great place for families. It has a lot of science based interactive demonstrations. It is particularly aimed towards children, but can be fun for adults too.

The ground's campsites follow the Hanazono River and there are two cooking buildings on the grounds as well as a shower building with a jacuzzi. There's also a training room and barbecue house available for visitors to use. The campground holds events fun for adults and children, including outdoor cooking classes, hiking, and treasure hunts.

    This bungee jumping spot off of the 100-meter tall Ryujin Big Suspension Bridge is the tallest bridge bungee jumping spot in Japan and is located a 50-minute drive from the Naka interchange on the Joban Expressway via National Route 349. The Ryujin Big Suspension Bridge spans a snaking lake and, at 375 meters long, is one of the longest dedicated pedestrian bridges in Japan. After plunging towards the surface of the lake, jumpers are hauled back up via an electric winch. Jumpers must be between 40 and 105 kilograms and be 15 years of age or older.     A 15 minute drive from the Kita-Ibaraki Interchange. A small park on the tip of Cape Otsu jutting out into the Pacific Ocean with a view of the Rokkakudo, a red hexagonal pavilion and local landmark. Situated on a cliff a little above the ocean, the scenery as seen from the park is gorgeous and like something out of a painting. The park has walking courses, benches, and roofed rest area. The park was also used as a filming location for the movie “Tenshin” and has a memorial viewing tower dedicated to remembering the Great East Japan Earthquake. Come on a sunny day and enjoy a picnic lunch on the park’s lawn.

    This prefectural art museum sits on the Izura Coast—a scenic location in Ibaraki City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The interior presents materials and personal effects of Tenshin Okakura, the artist who moved the first section (painting section) of the original Nihon Bijutsu-in to Izura for work. There are special exhibits featuring modern Japanese paintings as well. You must see the Pacific Ocean from the observation lobby. Cafe and museum shop adjacent.

    I had such a good time! Everything is completely rebuilt, and the art exhibits and the view from the hexagon house were fantastic. I highly recommend this museum!
