Tokyo Shibuya-ku Sendagaya 4-18-1

This theater is a theater dedicated to the performing art of Noh, and is located in Sendagaya, Shibuya City of Tokyo. This theater was built for the purpose of preserving and promulgating one of Japan's traditional performing arts, Noh play, which has a history of over 600 years. In addition to the ongoing independent performances, performance for Noh appreciation classes with accompanying narration are also presented for the students and general public groups. Adjoining the theater, the Noh play library displays many of the treasured materials of the arts. This theater also is engaged in nurturing future artists for the Noh performing art.

Tokyo Fuchushi Sengenchou 1-2

This playhouse within a cultural facility located directly next to the metropolitan Fuchu-no-Mori Koen (Fuchu-no-Mori Park) has been selected as one of the top 100 superior halls chosen by acoustic specialists. It has three halls comprised of the Dream Hall boasting a capacity of more than 2,000 spectators, the Vienna Hall with a pipe organ, and the Furusato Hall intended for traditional performing arts and stage theater. The playhouse can also rent out facilities such as music practice rooms and conference rooms, and can support a variety of events from performances of cultural arts to receptions. The closest station is Higashi-fuchu Station.

京王線の東府中駅から歩くのが一番早いでしょう。府中のコミュニテイバスで近くまで行けますが、１時間に２本程度しか走っていません。ホールの座席は年輪を感じさせます。プロ、アマの様々なコンサートが開かれています。ホームページで確認しましょう。

Tokyo Setagaya-ku Taishidou 4-1-1

A performing arts theater focusing on drama and dance located inside Carrot Tower, a landmark building which stands in front of Sangen-Jaya Station. In addition to the main 600 seat Setagaya Public Theatre and the smaller Theater Tram, the facility also houses a practice room and sound studio. The theater hosts numerous excellent stage productions and also holds workshops for local residents and children. Since 2002, traditional kyogen comedic farce performer Mansai Nomura has served as artistic director.

キャロットタワーの上にある劇場です。舞台はこぢんまりしていて客席はかなり角度がありますが小劇場としては良い作りです。

Located in the Yurakucho district of Tokyo’s Chiyoda City, this theater opened in 1934 and is the Tokyo headquarters of the Takarazuka Revue theater company. It is equipped with the same type of stage equipment as the Takarazuka Grand Theater in Kansai, and the large staircase on the stage is known for being a symbol of Takarazuka. Musical performances with a live orchestra are possible and the seats have a staggered array that enables spectators to view the stage easily regardless of where they are seated. In the entrance is a luxurious red carpet, making this a spot where fans can enjoy the splendid world of Takarazuka to their heart’s content.

This theater located in the Honmachi district of Tokyo’s Shibuya City is used for opera and ballet as well as performances of modern performing arts such as contemporary dance and drama. The facility is actually comprised of three theaters: an opera-specific theater with an orchestra pit that can accommodate 120 musicians at full capacity, a mid-sized theater, and a small theater. The backstage tour that is held after performances of opera and ballet is also popular (apply on the day of the performance). Opera glass rentals and a baby-watching service (advance reservation required) are available.

Visitors can see authentic sarumawashi (trained monkey shows) at this all-weather, wheelchair and baby carriage accessible theater. Suo sarumawashi, designated as an intangible folk cultural property in 2004, has even been incorporated as part of hands-on education at schools. The SainoKuni Saitama Arts Theater is reputed as the “theater that creates”. It is a place where the culture of exceptional theater arts can be sensed up close. Art Producer, Ninagawa Yukio, has created and performed quality artistic works in the mediums of theater, dance, and music since 2006. In March 2018, the Ninagawa Yukio Third Year Memorial will again host a performance of his work. The piano concerts and theater performances are a must see too.

初めて行ったのですが、地理的には大宮の一歩手前です。駅からちょっと遠そうでしたので、タクシーで行きました。小ホールは客席が半円に広がっています。トイレが下までいかないといけないのが少し面倒かも。多機能トイレはすぐ横にありました。こじんまりとしたおしゃれな劇場でした。

こちらは、千代田区隼町にある国立演芸場です。日本の伝統芸能の公開と保存、振興を目的に設立されら演芸場だそうです。時間がなく見ることが出来ませんでしたが、お客の層は先輩ばかりでした。

Dotonbori ZAZA located in the first below ground floor of Nakaza Cuidaore Building in downtown Dotonbori in Minami district of Osaka is a theater divided into two halls; “HOUSE” and “POCKET’S”. It holds live comedy by young performers daily as well as a range of events such as rakugo (traditional Japanese comic storytelling), theatrical performances, and music. “HOUSE” accommodates up to about 150 people and “POCKET’S” can hold up to about 80 people. The stage and audience are close enough to enjoy immersive entertainment. The closest station is Namba Station.

This municipal concert hall opened in 1995 in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. Equipped with the best audio equipment for classical music, there is a pipe organ in its shoebox-style 1,833-seat large hall made by renowned German specialist Johannes Klais Orgelbau GmbH & Co. KG. Opened in December 2014, the theater is right in front of Namba Grand Kagetsu. If you want to see young Osaka comedians, here is the first place you have to come. A variety of comedians, from popular comedians to rising comedians, will perform. The company holds daily performances of not only neta (comedy with pre-thought-out script) such as manzai or standup comedy, but also solo, unit, or project live shows, each with elaboration. Many young comedians who are expected to make their breakthrough in the future belong to this group, so finding your favorite comedian is one of the fun parts of the show. Another feature of this theater is that the audience seats are 305 and very close to the stage.

イオンモール幕張新都心の中にあるよしもとの劇場に行って来ました。綺麗なホールで、お席も並ばずに取れて、新宿より穴場です。入口に（入場券不要エリア)によしもとの芸人さんのグッズが販売してました。

This theater is in Sakae Town, Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture, and it is the home of the Takarazuka Revue. There are 2,527 seats total on the first and second floors, and the “Takarazuka Bow Hall” lies in an adjacent building. It specializes in musicals, and the various troupes take turns performing both overseas productions and original productions. Spectacular shows are held year-round. A community hall located close to Okurayama Park a one-minute walk from Kobe Municipal Subway Okurama Station and an eight-minute walk from Kosoku Kobe Station on various private rail lines. The hall is used for a variety of events, including orchestral concerts, movie screenings, and ballet and traditional rakugo comedic storytelling performances. The hall is also used as the venue for the Kobe International Flute Competition held once every four years. In addition, the facility's large and medium halls can be rented out and raffles are held to determine who may rent these between one year and two months in advance. There is a fellowship of the hall club which can be joined by those interested which includes perks such as advance ticket purchasing opportunities.

古いホールですが、後方の席からでも舞台が見やすいです。大ホールに入るには大階段を上がりますが、エスカレーターあるのに何故動かさないのか謎です。高齢の観客が多いコンサートだったので、大変そうでした。

This is a theater located in Sea Fort Square, about one minute from Tennozu Isle Station on the Tokyo Monorail line. The horseshoe-shaped hall has a three-level seating construction accommodating a total of 746 seats, and the stage is extremely close to the audience seating with a maximum distance of 20 meters, allowing for an extremely close view such that guests can feel the sound and vibrations of the stage action in their skin. It features a variety of programs that primarily involve dramas and musicals but also include music and dance. There are also box seats on the second floor which allow friends and families to relax together. There is also an on-site café and bar which serves up original drinks in collaboration with the program.

The National Important Cultural Property designated Korakukan was built in 1910 as a theater in the Meiji period. Kurogo (stage assistants dressed in black) explain the history and characteristics of the playhouse, the stage equipment and the dressing room to visitors, and plays are still performed. There is also a shop and a buckwheat soba noodle restaurant in the hall. Lunch boxes can be ordered three days in advance, so visitors can eat and drink while watching a play at their seats.
