    Located in Fukurako, Minami Awaji City, this is the only theater exclusively dedicated to Awaji Ningyo Joruri puppetry, a nationally designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property boasting 500 years of history. They have scheduled performances four times a day. Special performances can be arranged with advance reservation for groups of 30 or more. The Awaji Ningyo Joruri Museum in Minami Awaji City's Ichisanjo has exhibits featuring items like joruri puppets and other tools.

    This is a dedicated theater for Taishu Engeki where theatrical companies tour around Japan performing historical plays, buyo (Japanese dance), and kayo (Japanese ballads), and the facility is located about six minutes on foot from JR Tachikawa Station. There are three types of seats available: gallery seating, tamari seating (the first two rows closest to the stage) and chair seating. The distance between the seats and the stage is close enough to clearly make out the expressions on the actors’ faces, allowing guests to enjoy plays that are full of presence. Part of the appeal to this theater is that visitors can enjoy various programs that change each month since it invites popular theatrical troupes from all over Japan to hold performances.

    This is a yose (a storyteller's house) located in the Ikenohata district of Tokyo's Taito City. It opened for business in 2013 using the first floor of the home that rakugo storyteller Koraku Sanyutei had constructed. Although it is a small-scale yose accommodating 40 to 50 people with zabuton (flat floor cushions) on wood floors, this is also the greatest benefit in that guests can sits close to the presenter and enjoy the live sounds of rakugo without necessitating the use of a microphone. The closest station is Nezu Station.

    "This mechanical puppet is on the grounds of Osu Kannon Shrine in Osu 2-Chome, Naka Ward, Nagoya City. The puppet itself is based on the seventh lord of the Owari domain, Tokugawa Muneharu, and is used in conjuction with stories written by Mudou Yuriko, an Osu native. Perfomances run five times a day for the public, and you can choose to view either of two plays: ""Urashima"" or ""Karako."""

    The Kusatsu Onsen Rakugo are rakugo (a form of Japanese verbal entertainment) performances held in the Netsu-no-Yu hall known as the Yumomi Show, located in front of the yubatake (hot water field and spring source) in Kusatsu, Kusatsu Town. Shows are held at eight o’clock every evening of the year. In many of the hotels and ryokan in the area rakugo tickets are offered as part of their accommodation packages.

    Located approximately 20 minutes by bus from either Ujiyamada Station or Iseshi Station, a one-minute walk from the JinguKaikan-mae bus stop. this Rakugo performance takes place in Sushikyu, in Okage Yokocho. Because it is held on the last day of each month, it was named Misoka. It has been held every month since the first performance in June 1991, without missing a single month. The venue, Sushikyu, is a traditional wooden building which was constructed in 1871. Its traditional atmosphere is popular among Rakugo-lovers. You need to reserve advance tickets by phone.
