Korakukan

Theater
The National Important Cultural Property designated Korakukan was built in 1910 as a theater in the Meiji period. Kurogo (stage assistants dressed in black) explain the history and characteristics of the playhouse, the stage equipment and the dressing room to visitors, and plays are still performed. There is also a shop and a buckwheat soba noodle restaurant in the hall. Lunch boxes can be ordered three days in advance, so visitors can eat and drink while watching a play at their seats. It is approximately three minutes by car from Kosaka Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway.
