- The “Sunset Line” (National Route 389), which runs through Kawaura Town in Amakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture, is a well-known driving route, and this champon (noodles with seafood and vegetables) restaurant can be found alongside it. It uses soup made from a chicken bone and fish base as opposed to pork bones, giving it a soy sauce-like flavor distinct from typical champon. The light taste and seafood aroma will make you feel like you’re eating a homecooked meal. It comes with a generous helping of chewy, straight noodles and toppings that complement the soup perfectly.
