    Tottori Iwami-gun Iwamicho Mana 1064-2
This shop, located an eight-minute drive from Iwami Station on the JR San-in Main Line , sells Mana ware, a type of pottery with a charming texture and appearance made with local clay. Examples of Mana ware are displayed in the shop's studio and gallery; Mana ware making activities, taught by director Isao Nanba, are also held here. The classes make use of clay gathered from local fallow fields, and the pieces participants make are fired in a handmade kiln using kindling gathered from the surrounding mountains; during the roughly two hour activity, participants can make several teacups or plates. Class participants can also enjoy using pine ash and silver powder to paint and decorate Mana ware in their own original style. Pieces made by class participants take around one to three months to complete and can be received by mail or directly from the shop.
