    This hall explores what the area was like nearly 100 years ago. Not only can you see and touch the building but you can also experience what life was like for those who lived back then. In the main building in the center of the facility you can try hometown cooking carefully made with traditional techniques and local ingredients that warms the heart including hand-made udon and soba noodles. In the studio building you can try hands-on lessons including making ceramics and pulling udon.

    This is an interactive facility in the No. 2 Bando hill park of the Bando region of Higashi Matsuyama City, Saitama Prefecture. It is the only indoor fossil excavation activity center in the prefecture. After listening to the instructors talk, the participant is given a sifter and hammer to excavate such items as shark's teeth from a rock mass. The instructor assesses the item found, and the fossil can be taken home (excluding a few high value fossils). The exhibit area displays valuable fossils found thus far. The tourism corner has a collection of tourist information for the city and the surrounding areas as well as unique products from the fossil activity center. This is the only place where one can enjoy digging for fossils in a temperature controlled environment.

    A natural area in Tokorozawa City covering nearly 1000 hectares has been developed to allow the people to come into contact with the local nature of the Sayama Hills and to encourage them to consider the importance of nature and its relationship with humans. There are five themed locations centered around a center area which is home to the Ikifure Flora and Fauna Interaction Center which looks at living things native to Arahata, Tokorozawa City. The different locations are connected with a nearly 13- kilometerfootpath from east to west and you can explore the area following the signposts.

    A hands-on workshop on the second floor of a chopstick seller, located in Ichibangai (Kurazukuri-no-tori), near the Saitama Resona Bank. You can try making a variety of handicrafts including glass beads, glass bead accessories, candles, engraved glass pieces, sand-blasted glass pieces, photo frames, candle holders, stained glass accessories, and plush balls. While reservations are not required when the shop is busy priority is given to those with reservations, so it's best to make a reservation before visiting.

    店員さんの説明もわかりやすく、トンボ玉作り未経験の私でもでもあっという間に作ることができます。 作品の仕上がりに待ち時間が一時間ほどかかるので、周辺には風情のある建物や有名店も多くあったので街中探索をしてすごしました。 オリジナルのトンボ玉をお土産にできて、とっても充実した一日をすごせました。 駅からはバスも出ていますが、少しかかりますが、町を散策できるので歩きもお薦めします。

    An educational facility located in Fukuro, Kounosu City. The facility has an earthquake experience corner, exhibits which teach how to escape smoke and fire and use a fire extinguisher, a room where visitors can experience winds of 30 meters per second, and informational exhibits on disaster prevention. Through simulated experiences and other materials, visitors can improve their awareness of disaster prevention methods and learn what to do in the event of a disaster.

    A facility situated along Prefectural Route 82 in Ido, Nagatoro Town, Chichibu County. The facility hosts restaurants serving zuriage (udon noodles eaten while parboiling them), shakushina meshi (rice with pickles), and other local dishes; a classroom where visitors can try making udon noodles by hand; a ceramics classroom; and a barbecue ground. Visitors can also try catching ayu and rainbow trout with their bare hands in the facility's pond or go river rafting.

    電車で長瀞に行ったので、駅から徒歩圏内のここでお昼にしました。片道2キロ、20分くらい掛かりました。なぜか川沿いではなく、林の中にありました。かなり大きなBBQ場なので、気兼ねなく焼けます。ただ駐車場は狭く、駐車できない車も出てました。一番安いコースでも豚肉と野菜が新鮮でとてもおいしかったです。もう少し近ければ行きやすいのですが・・。

    A facility centering on a factory owned by the Yugeta Shoyu soy sauce company in Tabame, Hidaka City. Visitors can take a tour of the factory and watch soy sauce being made and try activities like squeezing the mash used to ferment soy sauce. There's also a company shop, a light meal corner serving dishes made with soy sauce, and a gift shop offering soy sauce pourers and other merchandise. In addition, visitors can purchase a variety of sweets made with soy sauce here like soft serve ice cream, pudding, and roll cakes.

    Ichigu-sha is a ceramics experience workshop located in the Nagatoro district of Nagatoro Town in Chichibu County. Experiential activities are available for making pottery with an electric potter’s wheel, making hand-thrown pottery, and decorating pottery, all taught by expert instructors. The hand-thrown pottery activity is also available for groups and families. Completed pots will be fired within a period of around one and a half months (one month for decorated pots).

You'll be carefully taught the tie-dyeing technique as you made your own original safflower dyed handkerchief or scarf. Reservations are required to be made at least two days prior to your visit. They also sell various items including fragrance bags filled with safflower. They have a number of materials available related to the dyeing experience looking at topics including safflowers and dyeing techniques.

    A place to stop in after exploring Sakitama Ancient Burial Mounds Park. Anyone regardless of age can enjoy making their very own Haniwa clay figure with the help of an instructor. Making the figure takes around one and a half to two hours and then it is left to dry for a month before being fired in an almost 800-degree kiln for nearly seven hours.
