"Based on the keywords of ""bare wood = healthy"" and ""playfulness,"" this woodworking studio offers wooden products designed to delight the people in whose homes they are placed in. The studio's vast array of items includes kitchenware, furniture, gardening supplies, toys, and more. The Aomori Hiba cypress used to make the studio's products is an aromatic wood with a strong fragrance that is said to have aromatherapeutic effects."

"At Butokuden (Kita no Kuruwa) in Hirosaki Park, you can experience wearing kimonos all year round. It has a good reputation because you can wear Japanese clothing such as a gallant armor or an elegant overgarment called ""uchikake"" to dress as if you were a samurai lord or a princess, and you can take memorable photos there. The area has an admission fee from April to November 23rd, but both the experience and photography fees are reasonable. Be sure to experience it during your trip to Hirosaki."

Aomori Main Areas

Centuries-old stories of samurai at Kakunodate and the remains of millennia-old archaeological sites including the likes of Isedotai invite history buffs to delve into Aomori's fascinating history. As the most northern prefecture on the Japanese mainland, Aomori enjoys a cooler climate, which makes it a welcome escape from the southern cities for combining castles, art galleries, and summer festivals with the great outdoors.
