    Kaiseki Tsukibatei Etchu Yao Restaurant is located a one-minute walk from the Nakamachi Stop on the streetcar from Toyama Station. Diners enjoy kaiseki cuisine in an elegant space served on ceramics and lacquer ware. The menu contains products of both the sea and the land, as exemplified by the Hietsu Lunch, which contains local Hida chicken and fresh sashimi from the sea off Toyama, and diners can also enjoy a variety of genuine kaiseki dinners. The restaurant hosts memorial services, wedding banquets, and tea ceremonies, as well as birthday celebrations for significant ages. It even rents out traditional Chanchanko (padded vests) to wear on these occasions.

    Kappo Kawaguchi near Shinmachiguchi Station in Chuo Town, Imizu City is a kappo (Japanese cuisine served at a counter) restaurant. It offers dishes using fresh seasonal seafood such as Japanese glass shrimp and snow crabs sourced from Shinminato Fishing Port. The popular menu items include the Shiraebizen special of all sorts of Japanese glass shrimp such as sashimi, deep fry, sushi and somen noodles as well as a Kanizanmai set meal with a whole red snow crab.

For lunch, the seafood bowls at a special price is popular. Also, there are flavors for each season, like squid in spring, natural Iwagaki oyster in summer, and cold yellowtail, red snow crab, and wild boar stew from January to March.

    魚津駅前にある日本料理屋。魚津駅前観光案内所で紹介されました。 店頭の雰囲気は高級感があり、紹介されなければ一人だとちょっと躊躇ってしまいそうな雰囲気で中も素敵な感じでした。 お値段はごく普通なもので安心しました。 コース料理から丼物、お刺身や焼き物など色んな魅力的なメニューがあります。 海鮮丼を注文しました。サラダ、小鉢、味噌汁、漬物が付いていてとても美味しく満足できました。

    生け簀の鮎を揚げて、焼く前に生の状態で目の前で見せてもらいました。 鮎の釜飯が食べたかったのですが、1時間かかるとのことで諦めて、五品セットを注文。新鮮で美味しい鮎です。少し小ぶりサイズでした。10センチくらいでしょうか。 ボックス席を案内されて着席したのですが、もし予約席の表示がなかったら、焼き場前のカウンター席がずっと焼いているところを観れるので、おすすめします。

    昔の花街の料亭です。この一帯は戦後もずっとしばらく花街でした。 今ではそのような店もほとんどなくなったのですが現在も残る数少ないお店です。 外観もすばらしくとても風情があります。 現在は薬膳料理などをしていますがそのようなものではなく本格的な料理も楽しんでほしいお店です。
