    This kappo traditional Japanese restaurant is located about a five-minute drive from the South Exit of Iwaki Station. It is at the end of a stone-paved alleyway, and offers excellent cuisine using local mountain and marine products. Colored in white and brown tones, you can enjoy the calm atmosphere of this adult hiding place. The restaurant is perfect for entertaining important guests and special anniversaries. The winter anglerfish stew is the pride of the restaurant's menu, and has a refreshing, addictive taste. You can enjoy seasonal flavors to your heart's content, including appetizers, sashimi and rice porridge.

    10人強でいきました。まずは入り口からお店の中に入るまでが料亭の雰囲気。掘りごたつ式の個室で足元は温められている。巨大な鯛まるまる一匹を皆で取り分けて頂きました。（これまでに見た中で最大）地酒と他の料理で楽しい時間を過ごしまた。

    This long-standing restaurant first opened in 1894. Situated in a quaint building located next to the Soma City Government Office they serve set meals and Shokado bento box made with local Soma Koshihikari rice and abundance seafood delivered from the local Haragama Port. The relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant delivers a sense of Japanese elegance and mature ambience. The restaurants flavors, including their broths, seasonings, and eel sauce, have been handed down through the generations. With children's options including soba noodle bento boxes and fried shrimp meals as well as senior specials for those over 70 it's common for families to visit as a group.

    職場の幹部会で行きました。人数は30名程度。広いお座敷に椅子とお膳が並びます。料理は生きアワビの地獄焼きなど、宴会にしては良かったです。お酒も何でも用意されています。個人用の個室もあるとの話でした。

    福島駅から信夫山方面に車で10分程度、国道13号線沿いに立地する鰻・しゃぶしゃぶ・すき焼き等の和風レストラン。今回は名古屋の櫃まぶしならぬ福島の鰻まぶしを注文。1杯目は山椒をふってそのまま頂き、2杯目は卓上ミニコンロで温められている出汁をかけて頂く、3杯目はお好きにとの事だったので刻み海苔と九条葱をのせて頂いた、お櫃が大きく4杯目も茶碗によそえる。ボリュームもあり大変美味しゅうございました。

    焼いて蒸してまた焼く鰻がおいしい。期待した通りの味で、えぐみはなく臭みもない。丁寧な仕事をしているのだと思う。知人はアナゴ丼を頼んだら、アナゴの一本揚げが2本乗ったボリューミーな丼。サクサクなアナゴがおいしそうであった。

    JR東北新幹線福島駅東口から徒歩15分位、福島稲荷神社という立派な神社の向かいにある鰻屋です。訪問時には駐車場に関東ナンバーの車が多く駐車していました。 「蒲焼」を注文しましたが、焼き置きを温め直したようで、生臭かったです。 一方、ランチメニューの「石焼ステーキ丼」は良い肉が使われているようで、出汁醤油のかかったごはんと共に口の中にいれると、旨味が広がりました。

    I went into Sushiman, as the sign on the fine old building said, because it was close to the station. Excellent! Superb sushi/sashimi, giant draft beers. Very friendly, very good value.
