    A facility hosting a restaurant, patisserie, boulangerie, and direct sale shop operated by pastry chef Toshihiko Yoroizuka and located in Hayakawa, Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The facility adjoins the former site of Ichiyajo Castle, a castle built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, enemy of the Odawara Hojo clan. The facility is situated in an area offering a superb view of Sagami Bay. The farm’s concept is “local production for local consumption.” The colorful cakes lining the shop’s showcases as well as the course meals and desserts offered in the restaurant are made with an abundance of local Odawara ingredients.     This tea lounge is located inside the Hakone Hotel, built on the shore of Lake Ashi in Hakone Town, Ashigarashimo County, Kanagawa Prefecture. The large glass panel walls lend a spaciousness to the inside of the shop, and allow patrons to take in the lovely view of green grass and the blue lake surface. During the day they serve their special coffee that is a select blend for the Hakone Hotel, along with yoshoku (Japanese-style western cuisine) including sweets, omuraisu, and curry rice. The bar is open after 5 p.m. and amidst the mood lighting of the grown-up atmosphere guests can enjoy a menu of alcoholic beverages including seasonal cocktails.

The view of Isshiki beach is a major selling point.

    美術館に併設されたレストラン。眺望は素晴らしいですが、お料理はいたって普通です。ハンバーグはソースがかけすぎでイマイチでした。それなりの価格なのに現金のみなのもあまり感心しません。食事の場合テラス席は了解できないので、テラスでお茶する、というのがおすすめです。

    You can reach this shop by taking a bus from Hakone Yumoto Station, getting off at the Togendai stop, and walking for about six minutes. Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
