A café located in Yamate, Yokohama. Built in 1927, the café building is a rare example of the Western architecture employed in the former foreigner residential area. The first floor is a café, while the second floor is a sweet shop and private dining room accommodating up to 6. The shop area sells chocolate assortments and other items perfect for giving as a gift. The most popular menu item on offer is the rare cheese cake, baked according to the same recipe since Enokitei first opened.

A café located just down a hill from Miyanoshita Station. The café operates out of a remodeled building which once served as a dorm for the employees of the renowned Naraya Ryokan, an inn which had operated since the Edo period, before it closed. The abundance of plain, natural exposed wood in the café gives it a warm atmosphere, and here visitors can enjoy light meals like oven-fired pizzas, drinks, and sakes. The café has a spacious wood deck which connects with the adjoining Naraya-an shop. There is a natural hot spring foot bath situated in the deck, and patrons can use it to soothe tired feet which enjoying one of the café’s beverages or dishes.

Located close to the East Exit of Kamakura Station, this shop, a part of the Toshimaya chain famous for the hato sablé cookie, focuses mainly on breads. There is a souvenir shop and bakery on the first floor. The second floor has an eat-in space where bakery items purchased on the first floor can be enjoyed. Parlor Tobira, a café offering beverages and light meals made with the shop’s baked goods, is situated on the third floor. Overlooking the roundabout in front of Kamakura Station, the shop is also a great place to meet up with people.

鎌倉にはいくつも手島屋がありますし、手島屋のカフェは他にもありますが、駅前ロータリーを眺められるほどの立地はここだけ。 1階の店舗はお土産を買い求められる方で常ににぎわっていますが（パン屋さんもある）その３階に、このカフェがあります。お茶だけでもOKですが、小さなお重に盛られる「一口重ね（三段重）」は、自分の好きな組み合わせが選べて楽しいです。

This jazz cafe is located on the second floor of the Miyamoto Building a three-minute walk from Sakuragicho Station and can be reached by walking south from the station a short distance along Nogenaka-dori Street. The longstanding establishment was opened in 1956 and is said to have bustled with American soldiers from the now defunct Honmoku Base come to play live music. Today, jazz music continues to be played amidst its chic black and red decor, and live music performances, lectures, and other events are still held here as well. The establishment also offers a full array of alcoholic beverages and appetizers, and also sells original T-shirts.

This old shop operating from the entrance of Komachi-dori Street for the past 65 years first opened for business in 1948. It is a café with a history of well-known customers including Yasunari Kawabata. Their famous pancake which takes 30 minutes to cook costs 800 yen. In the wide 88 seat area there is also a courtyard with a retro atmosphere from which one can feel the change of seasons and become relaxed just by gazing at it.

This is the Hase branch of the Yukinoshita German bread and confectionery store. They run a bakery and café, with the German hard bread sandwich being popular. The “Berg　sandwich set” which contains a selection of three breads topped with tuna or sausage, soup, coffee or tea and dessert, is the shop’s recommended lunch.

Visited thanks to one of our party whod been here before, for its not so easy to find, but so glad we did. Delightful little tea-room with bakery... and a wonderful range of pastries and cakes...

This is a well-established Kamakura western-style sweets shop that is located just across the rotary at Kamakura Station’s east exit. The inside of the shop is full of delicately prepared sweets made from carefully selected ingredients. Their “Kamakura Custar,” a standard popular souvenir in Kamakura, came about from the idea of combining the delicious tastes of a cream puff and a shortcake, and they take such care in producing the treats that they will adjust the amount of honey in the sponge cake depending on the season.

カウンター席のみの小さなお店ですが、美味しい「あんこ」が食べたければ、コチラで「煮あずき白玉入り」がお勧め！！粒の食感がしっかり楽しめ甘さもほどよく本当に美味しかった！！アップした写真は、通常は白玉が３個なのですが、わけあって一粒よもぎ。これがまた美味しかったです！

The shop’s juicy burgers are served sandwiched between buns perfectly toasted over a charcoal fire to give them a crisp exterior. The shop’s interior, heavily accented with warm woods, engenders a comfortable atmosphere. This popular restaurant is also frequented by international customers.

Incredible burger and fries with a beautiful view. Fresh ingredients and super crispy fries with immaculate by-the-sea surfer vibes. Only wish we could have this food at home.

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions.
