Saitama Pref. Kawagoeshi Motomachi 2-1-10

This local museum is in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture. It preserves and displays important materials related to the Kawagoe Hikawa Matsuri, a nationally recognized Important Intangible Folk Culture Asset and one of the Kanto region's three greatest festivals. The exhibition hall always has two floats on display, and in Sundays and holidays they hold a performance of the parade's dance music, called ohayashi.

Saitama Pref. Chichibushi Kumagimachi 28-1

A museum dedicated to Chichibu-Meisen silk located in Kumagi-machi, Chichibu City. The museum contains examples of antique meisen silk, looms and other production equipment, materials on the history of Chichibu textiles, and old posters. The museum also works pass on the techniques of Chichibu Meisen. Visitors can try katazome stencil dyeing and weaving cloth by hand, or check out the museum shop. The museum's main building and factory building were originally built as the Saitama Prefectural Chichibu Industrial Testing Station in the early Showa period and are designated National Tangible Cultural Properties.

This museum is in Ogawa Town, Hiki County, Saitama Prefecture. The regular exhibition hall displays examples of Saitama prefecture's traditional crafts, and also offer chances to try your own, including Ogawa's own Ogawa Washi papermaking, mizuhiki paper cord making, and bamboo crafts. They also have special exhibits from various artisans, and in the Kogei Bussankan craft hall, they display and offer authentic pieces of craft for sale.

国道２５４号沿い。道の駅おがわまち敷地内にあります。令和３年４月１日より入館料無料。埼玉県指定の伝統的手工芸品が３０品目ほど展示してあり、越谷ひな人形や所沢人形など人形の類いは特に見応えがあります。

A sake brewery open to tourists located in Bessho, Chichibu City. Centering on the local Chichibu Nishiki sake brewery, the facility also has a sake brewery museum and local specialty products shop. Visitors can view exhibits on the history and production methods used by this brewery founded in 1749. Visitors can also take a free tour of the brewery's seishu refined sake production facilities (advance reservation required) and sample and purchase local sake and other liquors.

春日部駅から徒歩10分ほど。春日部市教育センター1階にある。入館無料。展示室は原寸大で復元した縄文時代の竪穴式住居から始まり、前半は市内で見つかった縄文時代・弥生時代の遺跡解説と出土品の展示、後半は中世・近代の歴史・文化に関する資料、粕壁宿のジオラマなどの展示となっている。展示品はあまり多くない。地元小学生の学習施設といった感じである。

This museum is located in Umehara, Hidaka City. It displays permanent exhibits such as “Soil and Sweat” and “Blessings of the Mountains and Rivers,” as well as exhibitions of folk materials such as tools and daily necessities used in local agriculture, fishing and forestry. In addition, the museum features the “Ancient Koma County Village Diorama” which includes historical artifacts excavated in Koma County, as well as temporary and mini exhibitions.

巾着田公園から人専用のつり橋を渡ったところにある無料で見学できる博物館です。歴史を展示しており興味深かったです。

Out of all the mountains of Chichibu, Mt. Buko is particularly precious not only because of the reverence paid to it as a holy mountain but also because of its value from the perspective of the natural sciences. The Mt. Bukoh Museum was established to present all there is to know about the mountain, and the museum’s interesting and easy to understand exhibits are divided into themes such as the formation of Chichibu’s mountains, the geography and geology of Mt. Buko, and the plants and animals found here. The museum’s video room has videos on various topics relating to the mountain as well as informational panels and photographs.

武甲山資料館という名前の通り、武甲山に関する資料が展示されている建物で、展示室は１部屋だけの小さな資料館でした。観光施設というより、石灰の採掘によって変わりゆく武甲山の歴史を後世に残すための施設のような感じがしました。入館者が少ないので入館料が高くなってしまうのはしょうがないかも知れませんが、観光目的の人にはチョッと高いと思いました。

A museum located in Nagatoro, Nagatoro Town, Chichibu County. The museum is housed inside the former Arai Family Residence, an Edo period silkworm farmer's house which was dismantled, moved to this location, and restored. This residence has been also designated a National Important Cultural Property. The museum displays crafts once used by the residents of Nagatoro and the surrounding region and other materials which express the folk customs of the area.

秩父は養蚕が盛んな地区で養蚕農家が多く暮していたそうです。その農家で使われていた養蚕の道具・機織り道具などが展示されています。これらの道具をみていると昔の生活が偲ばれます。左横のなだらかな丘陵部にはハナビシソウが一面に咲き、とても美しい光景です。

An exhibit hall within the Saitama Prefectural Museum of the Sakitama Ancient Burial Mounds. The Shogunyama Burial Mound was excavated by locals in 1894. From the side-entrance style burial chamber many burial items including horse saddles and helmets, meandering ironware, flag holders, copper bowls, and ring swords were unearthed. You can view remains and relics as well as the interior of the burial chamber. The actual burial items are on display in the National Treasure Exhibition Room of the main building.

This museum is attached to “Roadside Station Otaki Onsen” along National Route 140 in Otaki, Chichibu City. They have exhibitions on the plants and animals living in the primeval forest of Okuchichibu, the “Chichibu Oukan” that was prosperous as the road leading to Koshu, and documents on the local agriculture and people’s livelihood. In the same location there are also hot spring facilities, restaurants and shops that sell local produce.

旧中山道を辿ってランニングしている時に立ち寄りました。隣に蕨宿本陣跡があるので気が付きましたがちょっと目立たない建物です。。幟が立っているのはわかりますが、この近辺には他にも古い建物をそのまま使ったお店などもありますので見分けがつきづらいかも。

2階と3階に展示があり、エレベーターはないのでベビーカーや車椅子の方向きの施設ではない。入って左手に券売機があり、そこで入場料を支払う。また入場するとスタッフが出て来て、検温してくれる。壁、階段、天井と至る所に展示があるので、少し目が疲れる。また私は無教養なため(世の大抵の人はそうだと思うが)もっとわかりやすいとよかった。例えば氏広の展示は、「川口が生んだ稀代の彫刻家」とか銘打ってくれるとわかり...
