"A library museum located inside the general purpose facility Clematis no Oka (Clematis Hill), reachable in a 15-minute drive from the Tomei Numazu Interchange or by free shuttle bus from the north exit of JR Mishima Station. It was established by Yasushi Inoue himself in 1973, and created a stir for being a library museum that an author established during his own lifetime. Inoue's idea was to ""leave the rich properties of mind to children."" Visitors can see photographs, manuscripts in the author's own hand, and videos in which Inoue appears."

Shizuoka Areas

around-area-map

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
