Sareizan Senkoji Senyuji located near the peak of Sareizan in Tamagawa Town, Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture is a temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect, and the 58th temple of the Shikoku 88-temple Pilgrimage. With a good view from the precinct, the center of Imabari City spreads out beneath your eyes. It was built at the behest of Tenchi Emperor (668 to 671). The principal image of the Thousand-armed Kannon Bosatsu is said to have been carved by a daughter of the Sea-dragon King. There is also a legend that Abo sennin, a monk who maintained the Shichidogaran (seven important buildings in a temple) for over 40 years, suddenly disappeared. In the precinct, there are okajimizu where Kobo daishi treated several diseases and a gorinto to pray for the soul of Yurenshonin, a prelate in the Meiji period (1868-1912). A lodge in the precinct which has a natural hot spring is also available for tourists to stay.

Located on the westernmost tip of Shikoku on Japan's narrowest peninsula. Here at the edge of the Setonaikai National Park, you'll find the Cape Sada Lighthouse, which was designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan in 2017. The peninsula extends 50 kilometers and is also called the 13-Ri Cape (Ri being an old Japanese measurement equal to approximately 4 kilometers). It is only 0.8 kilometers wide at its narrowest point. The area is overflowing with can't-miss tourist sights including the Cape Sada Melody Line driving course, from which you can have a panoramic view over the Seto Inland Sea, or view a 1,000-year-old giant camphor tree. On sunny days, you can see clearly across the Houyo Straight all the way to Kyushu from the Cape Sada Lighthouse.

This commodity manufacturing museum was built to resemble the Belvedere Palace in Vienna, Austria. It was founded on the site of the Nihon Shokken Holdings Ehime main office as a transmission base of world food culture. There are two tour courses to choose from; the Food Culture Museum Course (takes around three and a half hours) which includes lunch at the staff cafeteria, and the Palace Course which centers around the KO Palace factory. It is the world's only museum that showcases a wide range of information about the food culture of the world, from the things that are actually put in the mouth to the ingredients, utensils, tableware, and meal etiquette.

An observatory located in Baseyama Park at the base of the Nishiumi Peninsula. The observation deck both revolves and goes up and down, rising and falling between 107 meters and 260 meters above sea level while slowly rotating. During the ride, visitors can get a sweeping view of Misho Bay and the ria coast of the Uwa Sea. In springtime, visitors can also enjoy the pink cherry blossoms in full bloom in the park right under the observatory. The observatory is two stories and its cabin is also worth checking out. This type of observatory is extremely rare and unusual - there are only two in all of Japan, the other being in Niigata Prefecture.

    ガラス張りの空間の中に乗り込み、回転しながら上昇します。 座って外を眺めるように作られていますが、立ったまま見ると、より迫力があります。 宇和海を360度見渡せるので、独り占めした気分になります。

This white lighthouse is located at the tip of the Sadamisaki Peninsula in Setonaikai National Park. This white lighthouse stands at the end of Satamisaki Peninsula, where it is said that it is the longest and most narrow peninsula in Japan. The lighthouse has been in operation for over 90 years since its first lighting in 1918. It is a scenic landmark where on clear days you can view Takashima and Kyushu in the distance across the Hoyo Straight. It is especially beautiful at sunset. In 1998 it was selected as one of the Japan Coast Guard’s top 50 lighthouses in the country. Although the walkway leading to the lighthouse is well maintained, it is long with a lot of ups and downs. Please be careful.

This ancient temple was founded in 718 A.D. and is No. 7 of the 20 Shikoku Bekkaku temples on pilgrimage rote; together with the 88 sacred places on the Shikoku Pilgrimage, these two pilgrimages make up the pilgrimage which help pilgrims get rid of 108 kleshas (In Buddhism, people are said to have 108 earthly desires). Located atop Mt. Izushi in Setonaikai National Park, the temple name is affixed to the mountain name, leading to it being called the Kinzan Shussekiji Temple. On clear days you can look out from the main hall past Cape Sada, as far as Oita Prefecture, and even see Mt. Ishizuchi and the Shikoku Mountains. During the early morning in the fall and winter, there are days when you can watch the sun ascend from a sea of clouds.

This temple, just a five-minute walk from Uwajima Station, is the sixth temple of the Shikoku Bekkaku 20 temples Pilgrimage. This Buddhist temple for praying was built to the north east, unlucky direction, of Uwajima castle at the behest of the first Iyo-Uwajima Lord, Date Hidemune, when he first took command of the castle and domain in the early Edo-period. From the spacious elevated grounds of the temple you can look over Uwajima Castle and Kushima Island. On the mountain behind the temple is western Japan's largest one stone engraving of Kannon warding against disaster and for good fortune. The temple is still popular in modern times as it is said to protect the area from disasters while inviting in good luck.
