This museum located on Ehime University’s Johoku Campus in Bunkyo-cho, Matsuyama City has a mission of disseminating the results of university’s academic research. It features permanent exhibits on the four basic themes: Evolution of Earth and Universe, Ehime History and Culture, Diversity of Life, and Human Activities in the Environment. The museum also features spaces for special exhibits as well as an insect specimen repository and gallery with a collection of more than 1. 2 million specimens.

昆虫好きな息子のために、愛媛観光の一つとして連れて行きました。

マルタンヤンマトンボを捕ったことがある息子が、上野博物館や大きな博物館でも、マルタンヤンマの標本がなくて残念がっていましたが、
愛媛大学ミュージアムには、マルタンヤンマの標本がありました‼️
息子は大興奮しておりました。

他のお客さんもいなくて、ゆっくりじっくりみれて無料で良かったです。

大学校内に駐車場があることを知らずに遠く...

展示の内容、すごく面白いですよ!!特に昆虫の標本……。
全然人がいないのでゆっくり見ることができるのも良きです。

外国からのお客様をお連れしました。さほど有名ではなく、大きくもない博物館ですが、お勧めの「穴場」です。世界の昆虫を集めた標本は、きれいで充実しています。子どもたちにも人気です。世界一の硬度を誇る「ヒメダイヤ」もご覧ください。原則、火曜日が休館です。

          Stretched across the northwest corner of Shikoku island, Ehime is a nature-rich prefecture boasting beautiful coastlines and a rural center where mountains play host to 26 of the Buddhist temples that make up the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Matsuyama is home to an original post-feudal castle as well as Dogo Onsen, one of the country's oldest natural hot springs. The northern city of Imabari marks the entrance to the Shimano Kaido, a road that crosses six spectacular bridges and several islands, forming a route between Shikoku and mainland Honshu.
