I find the prices too high. Place is nice with a huge park around it. The scale of this place is unbelievable, I think they have a parking lot for nearly a 1,000 cars... I am sure it is very busy on...

- A long-standing Japanese confectionary shop established in 1863 located in 2 Chome Tamaki-cho, Omihachiman City. The shop’s yokan jelly, made by steaming a bean jam wrapped in bamboo peels, was often bought as a souvenir by young apprentices after visiting home to give to their employers due to the reasonable price of these tasty sweets. Because the word for these apprentices is “decchi” in Japanese, the shop’s yokan jelly came to be called “decchi yokan,” and today decchi yokan is one of the Omi area’s most famous local confections. The shop still sells its “Decchi Yokan” made according to the same process as when it first opened its doors, as well as uiro-mochi sweet rice cakes and seasonal confections.

でっち羊羹、普通の羊羹より少しもっちりして軽めで、食べやすいと思いました。 ういろうも売られていて、試食させていただいたら美味しかったです。 お店の前に丁稚飛び出し坊やが居るので、そちらも要チェック(笑)

- A Japanese confectionary shop situated in front of Azuchi Station in Jorakuji Azuchi--cho, Omihachiman City. The shop’s “Makezu no Tsuba” (“Undefeated Guard”), a monaka wafer cake sandwich filled with two types of sweet bean jam crafted in the shape of the iron guard on the mighty Oda Nobunaga’s favorite sword, is a popular lucky charm frequently purchased by students hoping to get into the school of their choice. Other sweets sold by the shop include “Azuchi Mondo” decchi yokan jelly and “Nobunaga-gun Pie” treats.

ＪＲ安土駅北側に有る和菓子屋のお店、いつものように疲れた時は甘いお菓子をということで買い求めました。中身の様子も写真で分かりますが、私自身は名前が気に入った３種を選び購入、女性のスタッフさんも丁寧に応対してくれました。美味しい、そして甘いお菓子でした。

- This locally popular Western confectionary shop is located a five-minute walk from JR Omihachiman Station. The shop's signature cheesecake, its most popular product, is a souffle type made with Gouda cheese and has a delightfully moist and fluffy texture. The shop also sells a matcha cheesecake accented with bittersweet matcha green tea powder from the end of May to September. Some other recommended selections from the shop's lineup of baked sweets include baumkuchen, still made by hand one at a time according to the same recipe used when the shop first opened; and financier cakes redolent with the elegant fragrance of almonds and browned butter. The shop also has a tearoom for customers to enjoy.

お洒落なサラダバー、ドリンクバー、デザート食べ放題のイタリアンレストラン。 夜はパスタもしくはピザ一品と上記ブッフェ付きで2,000円〜ですが、コスパ高いと思います。 カルボナーラ美味しかった。

もう一度行こうにも、（住宅街にあるので）発見できる気がしない、幻のようなレストランです(笑) お一人でされているので、時間的余裕のある時に、ゆっくりお食事を楽しむのが良いと思います。 細かいことをあれこれ言わなければ、コスパは最高で美味しいレストラン。

ツアーランチで訪問しました。靴をスリッパに履き替えて上がります。テーブルにはすき焼きがセットされ、お客が来ると火をつけてくれます。店長が、近江商人の心意気、お客を大事にすることと、力説し、食後のコーヒー、ジュースなどをサービスしてくれました。すき焼きも美味しかったです。隣とはパーテーションがありました。お手ふきと、涎掛け、ほうじ茶のペットボトル一人1本も置いてありました。

平日は夕方から営業で混んでいるときも多いのですが、土日はお昼から営業されていてスムーズに案内してもらえました。 お好み焼き屋さんですが、もんじゃ焼きなど品数は豊富です。 ランチメニューとかあればうれしいです。
