A Japanese confectionary shop situated in front of Azuchi Station in Jorakuji Azuchi--cho, Omihachiman City. The shop’s “Makezu no Tsuba” (“Undefeated Guard”), a monaka wafer cake sandwich filled with two types of sweet bean jam crafted in the shape of the iron guard on the mighty Oda Nobunaga’s favorite sword, is a popular lucky charm frequently purchased by students hoping to get into the school of their choice. Other sweets sold by the shop include “Azuchi Mondo” decchi yokan jelly and “Nobunaga-gun Pie” treats.

JR安土駅北側に有る和菓子屋のお店、いつものように疲れた時は甘いお菓子をということで買い求めました。中身の様子も写真で分かりますが、私自身は名前が気に入った3種を選び購入、女性のスタッフさんも丁寧に応対してくれました。美味しい、そして甘いお菓子でした。

関西テレビ「よ-いドン!」の「となりの人間国宝さんのコーナーで元フィギュアスケートの織田信成さんが紹介させていて訪れてみたいと思っていた安土の和菓子屋さん『万吾樓』へ行ってきた。このお店の一番の有名な商品は「まけずの鍔」という織田信長の刀の鍔を模った最中。織田信成さんが来られたお店ですよね、とお店の人に話したら、親切に教えてくれました。でっちようかんを購入して帰って食べましたが、とても美味しかった...

信長の鍔という安土名物の和菓子を買いました。これは丸い最中なんですが、中にはつぶあんと抹茶あんがたっぷり入っていました。大福やどら焼きなど生菓子もありましたが、やっぱり名物の最中はぜひチェックしてほしいです。
