    "This park is located in Fujishiro, Ikeda Town, Ibi County. The cherry trees, planted to prevent landslides, are like a deep haze when they bloom, which gives the name ""Kamagatani"" (Misty Valley). Famous for the approximately 1,500 cherry trees of numerous varieties, such as wild and Yoshino, that bloom there in the spring, this spot is also featured as one of the top 33 cherry blossom spots in Mino and Hida."

The park holds toy making classes for children and has lodging facilities for sports camps and group training events, and people of all ages can make use of the park’s facilities as suits their needs.     A large park along the Hida River. The roughly 70,000-square-meter site has a variety of facilities like a soccer field, a tennis court, a ground golf course, and a bike path. It's also one of the best places in the city for flowers with cherries, tulips, and more blooming in season. They rent bikes and tennis gear, and there's lots of playground equipment like slides and benches. It gets busy with families on the weekends.

    山桜が白い花をつけ、飛騨川に沿って並んでいます。今年はまだ早く、一部の木はかなり咲いていましたが、蕾が多かった。暖冬と言っても、山のほうは寒いということのようです。テニスコートもあり、家族連れで賑わっていました。

    This museum exhibits children's rice bowls from the Taisho (1912-1926), Showa (1926-1989) and Heisei (1989-2019) periods. It exhibits introductions to the production process and transfer paper, and also over 1,000 types of character utensil with characters from works such as the 1959 anime Akado Suzunosuke. In the permanent exhibition room on the first basement floor, there is a display of hand-drawn plates by Takashi Yanase, the creator of Anpanman, and the picture book writer Gomi Taro, and you can enjoy the individual worlds depicted in each piece. In addition, there is a painting experience where you paint directly on white ceramics with a brush.

They are committed to growing safe, delicious, pesticide-free blueberries and wasabi using organic fertilizer. Located in a cool region at an altitude of 688 meters, the large day and night temperature difference leads to a balance of sweet and sour flavors. You can eat the fruit on the spot where it was picked, but it may taste even better chilled and eaten beside the adjacent stream."

    This rose garden is about 35 minutes from the Meishin Expressway's Gifu Hashima Interchange. It's in Ono Town, one of Japan's leading rose growing areas where they opened in 1997. They have 150 varieties and 2,000 rose bushes that bloom one after another from May to November with their varying flowering seasons. You can really take your time and relax here, with features like its rose arches, playground equipment, and benches. They hold a Rose Festival every year in May when the blossoms are most abundant, with a photo contest and growers selling their seedlings.

    冬なのに、綺麗に咲いていました。皆で散歩しながら、香りを楽しみ、花を愛でながら歩けました。かなりの距離を散歩できました。

    This botanical garden is about 15 minutes by car from the Takasu Interchange on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway. It protects the rare and valuable wetland environment of Takasu-choTown's Hirugano-Kogen Highlands, maintaining it in cooperation with the local population. It's open from late April to early October. More than 50 kinds of plants grow there, including wetland species such as cotton grass, Japanese kinkoka, East Asian yellow water lilies, and pygmy water lilies. It's also the habitat of marsh dwellers like forest green tree frogs and damselflies. It's cheap to get in, and getting there is easy.

    An art museum located a five minute walk from Hida-Furukawa Station on the Takayama Main Line. The museum displays glassware produced in Japan from the end of the Edo period to the early Showa period, and the museum’s collection spans some 800 pieces. The pieces on display are extremely diverse, and include miniature lamps, shaved ice bowls, and glass timepieces; many draw the eye with their vivid coloring. The museum also has uranium glass pieces which glow with a characteristic fluorescent luster. Be sure to note the museum’s Taisho Roman-style exterior, which blends in with the surrounding townscape. The museum is closed during the New Year’s holidays and also only opens on Saturdays and Sundays from December to February.

    明治・大正・昭和初期のガラス製品を展示しているということですが、年始に行ったので閉館してました。しかし外観がすごく素敵です。白壁に格子柵そしてドアだけ茶色とツートンカラーのレトロな感じの建物で、建築ファンには見ていただきたいです。

    This science museum is located approximately ten minutes from Nakatsugawa Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. You can enjoy learning while experiencing various things such as the earth, universe, life, weather, sound, light, electricity and energy. There is also a miniature planetarium with projected stars on a three-meter diameter dome that can be viewed with only the admission fee. In addition to exhibits to learn about science, there are also Saturday workshop events for children that are crowded with families on weekends.

    体験型の科学館ですので子供だけではなく大人も楽しめるように工夫されているように感じました。なかなか良かったです。

    This teddy bear museum themed on the environment is about an eight-minute drive from JR Takayama Station. The museum is in a restored gassho (large thatched roof) style kominka (old house) built over 180 years ago, and has 1,000 teddy bears waiting to greet you. You can also take commemorative photos together with historic valuable bears and works by famous international and Japanese artists. In the adjacent Little Bear Cafe, you can enjoy meals, and also parfaits and handmade cakes made using local ingredients that are as organic as possible. The inside of the shop is lined with original bears, bears from around the world, and variety goods.

    This municipal park is operated by Kakamigahara City. The area was once home to Gifu University's agricultural and engineering departments, but it passed to the city and has been re-purposed as the park you see today. It's dotted with small ponds, crossed by streams, and has lots of lawn area. They have places for the kids to play too, like their Jyabu-Jyabu Pond in summer. There's also a large playscape and health-building exercise equipment in the plaza. There is a library on the premises, and it's a great place for a rest.

    A hot spring inn and campground facing the Akigami River. The inn has four Japanese style rooms either six or 10 tatami mats in size, and here guests can relax surrounded by the great outdoors. The facility’s rock-enclosed bathing area is constantly replenished “kakenagashi” style from a hot spring source, and the inn offers non-meal overnight plans as well. The bathhouse can also be used by non-guests for a day trip bathing experience on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and during the Golden Week and Bon Festival holidays. Campers can camp in the campground area where and when they like and enjoy a variety of leisure activities such as amago trout fishing and edible wild plants picking. For families with children, bug hunting is particularly popular here.

    A 90-minute from the Ogaki Interchange on the Meishin Expressway. This eye-catching outdoor museum consists of five thatch roofed homes surrounded by greenery which were moved here from Tsurumi and restored. Inside the buildings, there are exhibits on local folk customs and daily tools such as papermaking equipment, saws for cutting Japanese horse chestnut trees, and wooden articles, and visitors can see and experience the homes and tools people actually used as part of their daily lives in the area. A modern recreation of the tower of Fujihashi Castle stands on the other side of the road which also has a folk customs exhibit as well as a planetarium facility for visitors to enjoy.

There are two multi-purpose halls: the Hida Convention Hall can hold up to 2,000 visitors, and the Hida Geijutsudo has seating for 500. The Shokuyu-kan has meeting rooms and a restaurant, and Museum Hida displays Hida-made furniture and more. At the Welcome Plaza, there is a 16-meter-wide panorama picture of Hida, and a cell animation table displaying a cell from Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atom).

    This art museum with rich greenery is located approximately a 10-minute drive from the Chuo Expressway’s Tajimi Interchange. The experiential facility “Sakutokan” can be easily used by anyone who wants to enjoy pottery, from beginners who have never made pottery in a kiln to those wanting to polish their skills.
