Fujihashi Museum of History and Folklore

Museum / Science Museum
A 90-minute from the Ogaki Interchange on the Meishin Expressway. This eye-catching outdoor museum consists of five thatch roofed homes surrounded by greenery which were moved here from Tsurumi and restored. Inside the buildings, there are exhibits on local folk customs and daily tools such as papermaking equipment, saws for cutting Japanese horse chestnut trees, and wooden articles, and visitors can see and experience the homes and tools people actually used as part of their daily lives in the area. A modern recreation of the tower of Fujihashi Castle stands on the other side of the road which also has a folk customs exhibit as well as a planetarium facility for visitors to enjoy.
