The shop offers a variety of oyaki fillings, including coleseed greens, unohana, ogura sweet red beans, vegetables, and hijiki seaweed and walnuts. The shop also sells konetsuke, a northern Nagano dish made by making oyaki with rice on the outside instead of flour dough.

    生地の薄い、おやきが美味しい。値段は、そこそこ張りますが人気があるので売り切れも早いです。午前中に買いに行くのが良いと思います。個人的には、切り干し大根の野菜が気に入っています。

    Fujita KuemonShoten is a Japanese-style confectionary located in Nagano Higashinomon-cho,Nagano City. It sells Koiyaki (stuffed cakes shaped like a fish, carp) that is unlike any other Taiyaki (stuffed cakes shaped like a sea bream). It is baked in a made-to-order mold created in cooperation with a sculptor of Buddhist statues, and the smaller size makes it easier to eat than Taiyaki. In addition to the traditional Anko (bean paste) filling, several other kinds are available, including seasonal varieties of fruit. Customers can enjoy their purchases in the shop, accompanied by a cup of green tea. Novelty goods with a Koiyaki theme, such as key chains, are also for sale.

    今年はコロナ禍でもあり、家族だけで飯田に行きました。団体客もなくゆっくり店内を見て周りました。自分で食べるバラ売りの赤飯饅頭や友人たちのお土産など買いましたが、帰りにくじ引きもあって楽しめました。試食が無いのはちょっと残念でした。
