    Kanagawa Yokohama-shi Naka-ku Motomachi 5-196
Established in 1903, this longstanding watch store, a three-minute walk from Motomachi-Chukagai Station and eight minutes from Ishikawacho Station, is just north of the Motomachi bus stop on the right-hand side. The store is authorized to service and maintain German Hones cuckoo clocks and on a case by case basis can also repair the cuckoo clocks of other companies. In addition to selling a carefully chosen selection of watches and clocks, the shop also sells its own in-house brand of wristwatches designed around the concept of watches you can wear casually and as appropriate to your outfit for the day.

    Kanagawa Yokohama-shi Naka-ku Yamashitacho 133-1
This accessory shop is located on an intersection which can be reached by heading west a short distance on Sekiteibyo-dori Street from Yamashitacho Park west of Motomachi-Chukagai Station. In addition to accessories such as bracelets and pendants, the shop sells natural stones. The shop also carries designs befitting its location in the Yokohama Chinatown and is a great place to look for Yokohama souvenirs. One of the great things about the shop is its selection of products suitable for just about any scene, from products for children to motivational cell phone straps and original four-color glass bead bracelets which are eye-catching yet not overly gaudy.

This boutique is located a five-minute walk from Ishikawacho Station and six minutes from Motomachi-Chukagai Station. The establishment stands right on the other side of Sekiteibyo-dori Street from the Yokohama Overseas Chinese School. The shop sells products personally purchased by the owner in Nepal, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, and a variety of other countries. Everything is handmade, and the shop's diverse selection includes interior decorations, clothing, and accessories. The shop is filled with elegant, Asian-themed products.

    Kanagawa Yokohama-shi Naka-ku Shinko 2-2-1 Yokohama World Porters 3F
This boutique is located on the third floor of the Yokohama World Porters shopping mall a five-minute walk from Minatomirai Station and Bashamichi Station, as well as 10 minutes from Sakuragicho Station. The mall is also located next to the World Porters bus stop. The cramped shop has an old-fashioned atmosphere reminiscent of Japan in the late 1950s and early 60s and is filled with cheap Japanese dagashi sweets and toys. The shop also sells merchandise featuring popular mascot and anime characters. In addition, the shop carries a large selection of local items sold no place else.

    Kanagawa Yokohama-shi Naka-ku
This boutique is located on the third floor of the Yokohama World Porters shopping mall a five-minute walk from Minatomirai Station and Bashamichi Station, as well as 10 minutes from Sakuragicho Station. The mall is also located next to the World Porters bus stop. One of a chain of stores which operate across the country, the store sells manga comics, novels, and other publications; as well as merchandise featuring currently popular characters. The store carries a wide selection of products in terms of both genres and product types and even just coming here to look is fun. Sometimes you can even see handwritten signage for comic books created by the actual artist.

Kanagawa Areas

around-area-map

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
