The restaurant offers a diverse selection of dishes made with local fish, focusing in particular on pilchard served sashimi, tataki (seared), and tempura-style. The restaurant's ""Tokusen Kaisen-don"" rice bowl is particularly popular and covered with so much seafood, you can't even see the rice underneath. Another of the restaurant's pluses is that customers can enjoy seasonal Oarai flavors like rock oysters in the summer and goosefish nabe hotpot in the fall. The restaurant's ""Ryoshi no Dobujiru"" seafood miso soup, made without any water added, is limited to just one customer a day. The establishment's monthly special set meals are limited to 10 customers a day. The restaurant also offers omakase chef's choice courses perfect for important and special occasions."

    年末訪問前日に電話連絡したところ奇跡的に席が空いていました。土曜にもかかわらず。予約の電話で席だけ予約しようと思ったんですが、要予約のどぶ汁を強く勧められ、それに従いました。それは正解でした。 アンコウそのものの味はほとんど記憶に残っていません。どぶ汁のつゆと白菜の相性が最高すぎます。思わず白菜を追加したほどです。

    A local cuisine restaurant which has been in business for over 70 years located in an area with a view of Fukuroda Falls (also known as Yodo-no-taki) in Kuji County, Ibaraki Prefecture. While taking in the seasonal beauty of the area, diners can enjoy dishes such as oden stew flavored with miso, Japanese pepper, and yuzu; kenchin soba noodles dipped in a miso soup filled with vegetables; kon'nyaku devil's tongue jelly served sashimi style and dengaku style broiled with miso. Beverages on offer include iced coffee and iced green tea made with spring water. The restaurant also offers several desserts, like mitsumame jelly cubes and fruit.

    袋田の滝の橋を渡った先、出口方面の途中にある食堂です。川沿いの席に座ると、袋田の滝の下の方が見渡せます。紅葉の時期に行きましたが、風情があります。注文したのはつけそばで、薬味が紅葉の上にのっているなど、いきな感じです。出てきたお茶も、薬膳ぽいものでした。混雑している袋田の滝見学から、一服できる場所です。

The restaurant's set meals, which come with seasonal edible wild plants and tempura, come in hearty portions.     お魚が食べたくて行ってみました。全席禁煙になっていたのでよかったです。お魚は種類が沢山あって、”活きいか”がコリコリしていて美味しかったです。お店の人はみなさん感じよくて、旅行だったのですが気持よい夕食ができました。最後に頼んだおにぎりが超特大でびっくり！あれは大きすぎると思います。美味しかったけど・・・全部は食べられませんでした。

    とても良い居酒屋です、レンコンとにかく、おいしいです。まるで刺身のようにしてたべれます。醤油煮込のレンコンも味が染みておいしいです。しゃれたダイニングバーという感じの店内も居心地がよかったです

    肉の質はイマイチでした。お肉類は特選を謳ってたのですが他の店の上肉の質までいかない程でした。肉類以外はデザート、サラダ全てにおいて業務用レベル。口コミの評価が良すぎるのが謎です。リピートはもう絶対ありません。

    しばらく前から、刺身がメニューからすべて無くなった。 ぜひ食べたいというメニューが無い。 枝豆や唐揚げなど定番メニューはあるが、定番さえあれば満足という人向けにはもっと安い店がある。 あまり満足感はない。
