This is a guest Ranch specializing in horse trekking, and is located two hours by car from Sapporo half way to Hakodate. Visitors can overlook Lake Toya, Mt. Usu and Mt. Showa Shinzan, recognized as the first “World Geopark” in Japan, while enjoying horse trekking. There is also a family course for those with small children, and anyone can join if they can straddle a horse alone without being afraid. There is a full mountain course for adults or those with a height of 140 centimeters or more. The course can be enjoyed by both experienced and inexperienced riders.

Herbal Ranch is a hands-on experience facility in Tsukiura, Toyako-machi, in Abuta County. Visitors pick herbs from the herb garden on the property and try their hands at distilling herbs, making herbal tea, or cooking local vegetables with herbs in a Dutch oven. Reservations are required, but Herbal Ranch can accommodate groups of up to twenty people.

A leisure facility where you can enjoy a variety of seasonal outdoor activities and which also offers lodging located in Niseko Town. Tethered hot air balloon rides are offered from June through September twice a day in the early morning and in the evening. Everyone from toddlers to adults can take in the breathtaking view of the mountain ranges of Niseko from 30 meters above the ground. Everything is provided for the rafting tours, and participants can enjoy rafting as well as games and swimming over an hour and a half long tour. Canyoning, in which participants dive into waterfall pools and swim down natural river water slides, is a fun way to enjoy the great outdoors you can only enjoy in a place like Niseko.
Konpira Crater-Remnants of the Disaster Walking Trail

These trails meander around the remaining structures and remnants that were affected by the Mt. Usuzan's eruption in 2000. The trails, located in Toyako Town, start behind the Toyako Visitor's Center and Volcanic Science Hall. If visiting only the relics, the walk will only take about 30 minutes, but the full-trail course is two hours. Near the entryway is an observation tower, where one can view the Yasuragi no Ie, which used to be the municipal hot springs bath, prior to the eruption. Even with the passing of time since the eruption, one can sense the power and awfulness of nature in the sight inside the remaining sturdily structure that was swallowed with muddy waters. With just a little detour off the trails, one can come upon an exquisite emerald bright crater called the Yukun crater.

This is the largest of the four ski resorts in the Niseko area. With the Siberian chill that blows in on the area’s seasonal wind, you can enjoy the finest powder snow. It has 15 gondolas and lifts, a rich variety of 30 runs, and Mt. Yotei rising before your eyes. The resort is enormous, so it’s a good idea to bring a course map the first time you visit. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes at the foot of the resort, so you’ll always be able to find good eating and drinking options.

Good powder snow December. There’s a few ski in ski out hotels which is easily accessible to the slopes.

バンガローの室内には布団以外なにもなし。受付時にシーツを受け取り、ヤカンなどないので都度わざわざ受付まで借りに行く手間。今どきTVも有料で電子レンジもなし。北海道だったらいいキャンプ場がいっぱいあるのに、なぜこれほど高評価なのかわかりません。

This ski resort is on the southeast slope of Mt. 無料でチェックインアウト時間がありません。管理は管理人が見回りに来ます。トイレや炊事場など最低限ですが景色はいいです。住宅街を抜けた先にあります。ただし風はすごく強いのでタープや耐風性の低いテントは要注意です。
