    "This flatland-mountain castle was built on a sandbar sandwiched between the Gokase River and Ose River in 1603 by Takahashi Mototane, the first lord of the domain. The highlight of the ruins is the ""1,000 enemy-killing"" stone base, so-called because it is said that the base would collapse and kill 1,000 enemies if one attempted to remove its stones. In addition to this 22 meter high imposing structure, there are also more than 300 cherry trees planted in the area, and in spring the castle ruins and surrounding park are practically covered with cherry blossoms. Other highlights include the Shiroyama Bell, which was used to notify the townspeople of the time from the Meiji period; and a monument inscribed with a poem by Bokusui Wakayama. Some 3,300 Japanese camellias spanning 108 varieties also grow on the grounds, making this one of the three largest Japanese camellia colonies in Japan. There are even academically rare varieties mixed in."

    This park is located on a peninsula three kilometers south on National Route 220 from the urban area of Aburatsu. The park is lush with subtropical plants and its grounds offer a view of the majestic natural beauty of the Pacific Ocean directly beyond. Because it takes around 10 minutes of walking along a path to reach the park's observatory, not many people stop here for sightseeing, but the splendor of the scenery visible from Izakibana is beyond repute. Hibiscuses have been planted on the grounds and great orange tip butterflies are also raised in the park.

    This park is in Miyazaki City and is divided into two areas. The “Sun Marina” area, Miyazaki's only full-scale marina where boats and yachts can be moored, stored and repaired, and the “Sun Beach Hitotsuba” with its multipurpose sporting facilities including a sea beach for swimming and marine sports. Various events are held throughout the year, and the facility can be enjoyed all year, not only during the summer months.

    바다에 인접한 공원입니다. 인공적으로 만든 공원이라고 합니다. 보트가 몇십대가 정박되어 있습니다. 비용을 지불하면 타볼수도 있습니다. 아이가 아직 어려 나중에 타보려고 합니다. 아이들을 위한 놀이시설 및 편의시설도 구비되어 있습니다. 특히 넓은 잔티밭과 해변이 아이들과 함께 놀기엔 너무 좋습니다. 바다 바람도 좋고 경치가 좋고 최고의 장소입니다.

Facilities include a baseball field, a gymnasium and the castle-style ""Miyazaki City Amagajyo History and Folklore Museum"". Located at 120 meters above sea level the scenery of the Kirishima Mountains and the city can be enjoyed from the park. Visitors can also enjoy seasonal flowers such as more than 1,000 yoshino cherry blossom trees and azaleas."

    This fruit farm is located close to the Kobayashi Interchange on the Miyazaki Expressway. The farm grows grapes and Japanese pears on grounds surrounded by lush natural beauty. The fertile soil and extreme temperature differentials between night and day in the Ikoma Highlands are perfectly suited to growing fruit, and this climate is famous for further enhancing the sweetness of fruit. The farm offers fun Japanese pear and grape picking from mid-August through late October. The Ikoma Highland's cosmos field and the Ebino Highland are located nearby, and many visitors enjoy scenic driving through the area stop by here.

    If you travel between Miyazaki and Kumamoto, drop by this fruit farm to pick the best fruit of the season. Nice people to talk to. I bought some grapes and was still fresh and taste excellent after...

    Japan’s first wax figure museum dedicated to Japanese myths located on the grounds of Aoshima Jinja. The museum presents 12 segments from Japanese myths in an easy to understand way using 30 wax figures, including the descent of the sun goddess; the story “Yamasachihiko, Umisahihiko,” which relates to the deities the shrine is dedicated to; and the conquest of Japan by Emperor Jinmu. The museum also displays wax figures of the Seven Gods of Fortune and former Yomiuri Giants baseball coach Shigeo Nagashima, who frequently went camping in Miyazaki.

    A museum located in the Saitobaru Tomb Area, a collection of some of Japan’s oldest tombs. Now a designated Special Historic Landmark Park, the area is dotted with over 300 tombs. The museum displays artefacts from the tombs and visitors can learn about the formation of the geography of southern Kyushu and the mysteries of the tombs from a diverse array of materials. The Ancient Life Interactive Center’s hands on exhibits, where visitors can ake a hands-on class about making haniwa and dogu clay figures, is particularly popular. From the third-floor restaurant, you can enjoy a cup of tea while gazing out over the Saitobaru Tomb Area, famed for its seasonal blossoms, particularly its cherries in spring.

The biggest attraction is that you can enjoy surfing throughout the year, so several competitions are held there. It is also said to be the birthplace of surfing in Kyushu. You can swim for the month from late July to late August, and besides facilities such as showers and lockers, there is also an inn and campground nearby.

    Sun Beach Hitotsuba, which is the only artificial beach in Miyazaki Prefecture, is located around 10 minutes' drive from JR Miyazaki Station, or can also be reached by taking the Hitotsuba Toll Road; the Beach is immediately adjacent to the Marina-mae Exit. The beach is divided into two zones: North Beach and South Beach. South Beach has gentle waves and is suitable for families with small children. North Beach is a dedicated area for marine sports such as stand-up paddle-boarding and sea-kayaking, and for beach volleyball. North Beach also has an area for barbecues; spaces for having a barbecue can be booked at the Beach Office, which also sells and rents out barbecue equipment.

The park, surrounded by trees and flowers, is famous for its cherry blossom, and a flower festival is held every year.

    "Park located in the center of a quiet residential area two kilometers east of Miyakonojo Station. The facilities of this large scale park include a multipurpose field and a water play zone. The abundant springs in the park fill ponds of various sizes. Originally a municipal botanical garden opened in 1957, there are around 150 species of trees and herbs grown in the park as well as a ""Manyo Botanical Garden"" planted with plants mentioned in the ancient ""Manyoshu"" poetry anthology and ""Kojiki"" and ""Nihon Shoki"" chronicles; and a medicinal herb garden with many medicinal herbs growing in it. In late April each year, some 420 thousand iris plants, the city flower, come into bloom. The park serves as a space for local residents to rest, relax, and refresh."
  • Nichinan Tempuku Baseball Stadium

    A five minute walk from Aburatsu Station on the JR Nichinan Line. This baseball stadium is located inside Tempuku Sports Park in Nichinan City. The stadium has served as the training campground for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp professional baseball team since 1963. In addition to being used for spring and fall training camps, the stadium is also used by the Miyazaki Phoenix League, one of Japan's leagues for training young players to potentially play in the pros one day. Visitors can catch the training camps for free from the viewing stands. Nearby facilities include an indoor multipurpose sports ground, pitching training ground, and sub ground.
