The teahouse carries a variety of Japanese teas, such as refreshing sencha as well as Yamecha, steamed for an extended period of time to give it a mild, non-astringent flavor. The teahouse also sells soft serve ice cream made with tea.

    A tea specialty store in Motomachi, Yame City. The shop was founded in the mid-Edo period and began operating as a tea wholesaler during the end of the Shogunate. They are known as the originator of the local specialty Yamecha tea. Along with selling tea leaves they also offer a reservations-only tea room on their second floor that is only open to one group per day. There you can enjoy traditional Japanese sweets with your Yamecha tea. The shop is considered a Cultural Property of the City and the neighborhood is a nationally recognized Groups of Traditional Buildings.
