    A Meiji-era townhouse was renovated into a shop—Koeido Kurashiki Yukei Branch—using renewal techniques for kominka (old houses). It is a café space located within Toki no Art Museum, which contains a variety of art works. Koeido offers sweets made with carefully-selected ingredients, such as the Kibidango with over 160 years of history and season-limited “Bizen sankasen (assorted three kinds of sweets).”

    美観地区の倉敷川沿いの南端、高砂橋の袂にあるお店です。私はここできび団子を購入しましたが、色々な味のがあって、お土産選びも楽しいお店だと思いました。

    Kurashiki Takadaya conscientiously grills each and every skewer of chicken over a charcoal flame, and has a big menu, from single items to whole courses. Winter-only items like “gyutan shabu-shabu”, “motsuni”, and “kawameshi” -grilled chicken skin over rice in a bowl-are popular and highly praised choices. All-you-can-drink courses are also available-perfect for any party. Approximately 15 minutes on foot from JR Kurashiki Station.

    This specialty ohban-yaki (Japanese pancake with sweet red bean paste) shop is located on Kurashiki Ebisu Shopping Street in Achi, Kurashiki City. Ebisu Manju, their signature ohban-yaki product, is simply made using only sweet bean paste inside. The store is not open in the summer, and sells products from the autumn to the spring.

    昔の方がおいしかった 久しぶりに食べたら 生地が硬くてパサパサしてた もっと もちもちして 触ったら中のあんこが感じられるぐらい もうちょっと 薄かったら食べやすいのかも 中のあんこも甘すぎた 砂糖を少なくして 塩を利かした方がイイと思った

    This rest house is located in the Tanoura 1 Chome area of Shimotsui, Kurashiki City. There is a restaurant that offers menu items utilizing the flavors of Setouchi, banquet hall providing menus for groups and traditional seasonal Japanese cuisine, cafe and souvenir shop. In addition, you can see the islands in the Seto Inland Sea and the Seto-ohashi Bridge from the observation deck.

    平日はもちろん土休日も営業時間が短く、現実的にはランチでしか利用できません。お土産コーナーは広いですが、品揃えは今一つ。眺めは抜群なのにもったいないです。

    A 11-minute drive from the Tamashima Interchange on the Sanyo Expressway. A bakery run by a brewery that has produced miso and soy sauce since the late Edo period. The name of the shop comes from the Portuguese for Hand-made. The popular well known Misopan is made with a dough containing miso and black sesame seeds topped with a salty-sweet miso cream. Also recommended is their unique Makizushi (Sushi Roll) Bread in which a whole sushi roll is wrapped with bread dough. The bakeryhas a cafe space where you can enjoy your bread with a coffee or other drink.

    JAのおなじみさんなどのお店に置いてあることもあるパン屋さん。行ってみると、少し食べられるスペースがありました。良くも悪くも、ザ・昭和という感じです。お好きな方にはぜひ。

    A five-minute drive from the Kojima Interchange on the Seto Chuo Expressway. This Japanese confectioner offers variety of fruit daifuku (rice cake), primarily strawberry daifuku with a whole strawberry inside. The number of different combinations of fruit and red bean paste that they offer depends on the season but they usually have 15 to 20 different varieties. Their flagship Strawberry Daifuku has been sold since 1988 and is very popular with its large sweet strawberries covered in moderately sweet red bean paste. Also recommended are their seasonal flavors including their Momotaro Grape Shiro-an, which wraps a large juicy seedless Momotaro grape with white bean paste, and their Apple Daifuku in which they cover sweet simmered apple pieces with custard.

    "An eight-minute drive from the Kojima Interchange on the Seto Chuo Expressway. This long-standing Japanese confectioner is located on the corner of Kojima Jeans Street. The shop started during the Taisho period when the founder came up with the idea of making Yokan jelly with the local specialty Nozaki Salt and started selling it. Their Salt Yokan and Salt Manju buns have a gentle flavor that perfectly blends sweet and salt and as they keep well, they make perfect souvenirs. Also popular are their Jeans Salt Yokan, bite size pieces in a package made of local denim, and their ""Shio Meguri"" which includes both Yokan and Manju with a small package of salt."

    ランチをしに行きました。とても美味しかったです。鶏肉料理が好きな人に強くオススメします。店内はやや暗くて、おしゃれ和風な内装でした。
