    Osaka Osakashi Tennouji-ku Chausuyamachou 1-108
    A municipal zoo located in Tennoji Ward, Osaka City first opened in 1915. The zoo cares for some 200 species and around 1,000 individual animals and is famous the efforts it takes to recreate their natural environments. Popular zoo areas include the African Savanna Zone, home to giraffes, lions, and hippos; Reptile House; Asian Tropical Rain Forest, site of the popular elephant exhibit; and the Friendship Square, a favorite for children where they can pet sheep and goats. Visitors can also watch animals such as the elephants, lions, and penguins being fed.

    Small zoo . A few animals . The only catch for me is to see the white polar. The place is easy to walk . Wheelchair friendly . A basic zoo . I will not recommend to come here unless the children...

    The Abeno Harukas building is a skyscraper in Osaka City; at a height of 300 meters, it is the tallest building in Japan (as of 2017). Since opening in 2014, Abeno Harukas has become a major new landmark in Osaka; the “Harukas 300” observation platform on the top floor, which offers marvelous views of the Osaka cityscape, is very popular with both domestic and overseas tourists. The upper floors house a hotel and offices, with the Abeno Harukas Museum (an art museum) on the 16th floor.

    Located on the 16th floor of the 300-meter-tall Abeno Harukas skyscraper, the Abeno Haruka Museum is a city-center art museum that takes full advantage of its location near a major terminal railway station. The Museum has no permanent exhibitions; instead, it holds several different thematic exhibitions every year, on themes relating to the cultural properties that are found near Kintetsu railway lines, East Asian art (including Japanese art), Western art, contemporary art, etc. The Museum occupies an entire floor of the Abeno Harukas building, giving it a spacious feel; as a great spot to take a break from shopping or sightseeing to admire art in a relaxing atmosphere, it has become a very popular art museum.

    Visited during recent typhoon and everything else seemed to be closed. In tall building - exhibit was fantastic. Stayed for a coffee afterwards at the cafe with wonderful views of Osaka.

    An art museum first opened in 1936 built on the former main residence of the Sumitomo clan. The museum’s collection of over 8,000 artworks and pieces donated by shrines and temples focuses on art and crafts from Japan and China, many of which are designated National Treasures or Important Cultural Properties. The museum’s standing exhibition presents selections from the museum’s collection based on a given theme. The museum also holds open call exhibitions sponsored by art organizations and special exhibitions covering diverse genres of art. The museum shop offers exclusive goods and illustrated exhibition books. The closest station is Tennoji Station.

    Directly connected to JR Namba Station, this shopping complex is part of the largest bus terminal in west Japan. A shuttle bus runs between the bus terminal on the second floor and Kansai International Airport. The shopping complex also serves as a base for the limousine bus, which connects to Itami Airport and Kobe Airport, long-distance express buses and tour buses. Inside the complex, are a vast array of restaurants and shopping floors. While waiting for the bus, you can enjoy browsing the many wares available here, or relax on the roof garden amongst the 10,000 plants planted here, made up of approximately 200 different varieties of herbs, including lavender.

Large retailers such as Loft, Sofmap, Franc Franc, mont-bell, and Plaza also have locations in the mall. The Mio Res restaurant floor is open until 11 p.m. and is a convenient place to pick up dinner on the way home.

    Exiting the underground Nanba Station from exit 26-B, you will see a building resembling an octagonal UFO across the Hanshin Expressway. The Minato-machi River Place is a facility complex built around the Live House, Namba Hatch. Various live events including rock and hip-hop are held in this building. There are also three plazas set up outside for use as outdoor event zones. Mini live events, exhibitions and other events, such as flea markets are also held here. The Dotonbori river flows past the complex, and with its beautiful nighttime views, is a popular date spot.

    JR難波駅と道頓堀川の間にある、お寺のお堂のような人目を引く建造物。観光客の動線からは少し外れているが、すぐ北側に遊覧船の乗り場もあり、川の見える階段に座り込んで一休みする人も多い。中にはライブホールが入っているらしい。

    A municipal park located in Osaka City’s Tennoji Ward. Facilities such as the Tennoji Zoo; Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts; and Keitakuen Garden, a renowned garden which once belonged to the Sumitomo clan, are located inside the park. Historic Mt. Chausu, found in the northeast part of the park, served as the headquarters of Tokugawa Ieyasu during the winter campaign of the siege of Osaka, as well as the headquarters of Sanada Yukimura during the summer campaign of the siege. In October 2015, the park entrance area was remodeled as the natural lawn Park Market facility, and here visitors can find fashionable cafés, a farm fresh vegetable market, restaurants, a dog run, and futsal court.

    “Hoop” is a large building in front of Osaka Abenobashi Station with a unique exterior resembling the name. It is filled with fashion stores, with about 50 stores in total from the basement floor to the sixth floor. There are many famous brands aimed at young women as well as select boutiques and popular cafes and restaurants. Add in a Tower Records, bookstore, ABC Mart, and other major stores, and it’s easy to see why this place is always brimming with customers.

    Tenshiba is the entrance area of Tennoji Park, which was remodeled as a free recreation area for the people of Osaka in October 2015. In 2016, the newly redesigned park won one of Japan's annual Good Design Awards.

In the northern part of the park, the Tennoji Sports Center, a baseball stadium, and an outdoor swimming pool for summer use have been constructed.     I loved the sound here, and the staff were very nice. I saw the legendary Metal band Dokken here. Would definitely go back again! Looks huge from outside but inside, holds maybe 600. Love this place...
