    A 40 thousand square meter park located at the foot of Mt. Omuro in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Some 40 varieties of cherry trees are planted on the park’s spacious grounds. In front of majestic Mt. Omuro, they bloom one after the next in succession each year—jugatsu-zakura to start in mid-September, followed by kan-zakura, Ito-zakura, somei Yoshino, shidare-zakura, and finally Sanokiku in May. The Sakura Museum on the park grounds introduces the cherry varieties planted in the park and exhibits photos of famous cherry blossom viewing locations and cherry trees from around the country. The Sakura no Sato Festival is held in early April at the height of cherry blossom season, and during this time the park bustles with great throngs of visitors come to hold traditional cherry blossom viewing parties.

    "A street lined with trees close to ""IzuKogen Station"" of Izu Kyuko Line. It is famous as a place for cherry trees, and during the season every year from late March to early April, the ""IzuKogen Cherry Blossom Festival"" is held, when you can see cherry trees illuminated at night. It is visited not just by locals but by many tourists as well."
