- Sakae Shokudo in Asahi Town, Shimoniikawa County, Toyama Prefecture is a famous restaurant for the local specialty tarajiru (cod soup). A building with countryside atmosphere, it stands on National Route 8 which is also called Tarajiru Kaido. Its tarajiru for which large chunks of cod are stewed in white miso (soybean paste) has a mild taste but not fishy taste. This superb and hearty dish has both simplicity and the dynamics of a unique fisherman’s dish. There is a range of menu items including oyakodon (a rice bowl with chicken and eggs), katsudon (a rice bowl topped with cutlets) and set meals. The side menu items are help-yourself style from a display case.

２人前で鍋ごとたら汁が出て来て、すごく量が多かった。他にたらこ煮も頼んだが、両方とも上品な薄味でおいしかった。あじフライも頼んだが、揚げたてで出て来た。ケース内におかずがたくさん並んでいて、希望すれば温めてくれる。お茶はセルフサービスで、店構えはお世辞にもきれいではなく、田舎の食堂といった感じなので、店のことを知らなければ行かないかも知れない。

新幹線で黒部宇奈月温泉駅で下車しました。１月１日にランチを食べようとしたら、荻生駅まで行かねばなりません。そして唯一開いていたのがココスでした。３５６日変わらぬサービスで満足しました。

昔からある定食屋さん。とにかくボリューミー。エビフライやハンバーグが大きく、食べ応えがあります。美味しいです。

出前でいつもお世話になっています。 この地域で出前をしてくれるところはなかなかないですからね。 私は生姜焼き定食が一押しですが、うちの従業員はかつ丼や色んなメニューを楽しんでいます。チャーシューの味が濃いのが・・私的には残念なんですが。でも、頼んですぐに届けてくれるお店は貴重な存在です。メニューがもっと増えればいいのですが・・・・
