"A large park in the Sentsu district of northeastern Izu Oshima. The camellia garden has about 3,200 cultivated and 5,000 wild Camellia japonica trees. It's adjacent to the Camellia Museum which provides a variety of camellia related information. The roughly 3.27 square kilometer grounds also have a greenhouse, a rest area, and a lookout. It was certified as an ""International Camellia Garden of Excellence,"" having met a strict set of criteria. Its expansive scale even lead the director of the British chapter of the International Camellia Society to declare it the ""Best in the world."""

"A camellia garden on a hill with a great view of Mt. Fuji. At roughly 3,300 square meters, it's a great place to stretch out on the open lawn and enjoy the quintessential Japanese beauty of the flowers and the mountain. About 120 kilometers south of Tokyo, Izu Oshima is known for its camellias and is home to about 3,000,000 of the trees. This garden has 2,000 camellias of roughly 400 varieties, and there are said to be few such well-managed camellia gardens in the world. Since it's met criteria like operating for an extended period, superior management, and having over 200 varieties, it's been certified as an ""International Camellia Garden of Excellence."""

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
