  • Milk Road

    Hokkaido Shibetsugunnakashibetsuchou Kaiyou
    The beautiful milk road of natural scenery is named after “the straight road that milk shipping tank trucks” take. It is also an observation point to view the constellations and is well known for its road to Kaiyoudai. It is also the generic term for roads in Naka-Tsu-cho, Shibetsu-gun, such as the Northern Road Route 19 etc.
  • Cape Nosappu Lighthouse

    This, Hokkaido's oldest lighthouse, is on Japan's easternmost point. Crowds flock here to see Japan's earliest New Year sunrise. The white chalk structure has been chosen one of Japan's Top 50 Lighthouses, and on Marine Day, or November 1st Lighthouse Day, normal visitors can tour the inside.
  • Kaiyodai Observatory

    This is an observation deck located at an altitude of 270 meters. The view is magnificent and includes continuous meadow, the horizon beyond that is curved, and you can experience the roundness of the earth. At night there are many stars shining in the sky, and visitors can fully enjoy the charm of nature.
  • Ura-Mashu Observatory

    The mysterious Lake Mashu is famous for the clarity of its water. There are several observation decks around Lake Mashu; the Ura-Mashu Observation Deck is situated on the opposite side from First and Third Observation Decks. Because the Ura-Mashu Observation Deck is situated at a relatively low elevation, the view of the Lake is obscured by fog less frequently than it is from the other Observation Decks, increasing the likelihood that visitors can get a good look at the beautiful lake surface. This is a relatively little-known spot that offers marvelous scenery.
