    A history museum located in Asakura County, Fukuoka Prefecture. The museum contains some 1,800 exhibits with a focus on items from the Pacific War, and visitors can view an actual Nakajima Ki-27 used for the former Imperial Japanese Army Air Force, and a Mitsubishi A6M Zero used by the former Japanese Imperial Navy. In addition to its permanent exhibition, the museum also regularly holds special exhibitions and events.

    西鉄甘木駅から徒歩10分ほど。朝倉市総合市民センター(ピーポート甘木)と中央図書館の間を通って行くのが近道。 土蔵風の建物で展示室は2階に2室ある。第1展示室には農具や民具、第2展示室には土器・銅鏡などの遺跡出土品や仏像などが展示されている。目を惹くような展示物はないが、入館無料なので甘木観光で時間があれば寄ってみるといいでしょう。
