- This museum is located along Prefectural Route 21 in the Shimotsui 1 Chome area of Kurashiki City. Housed in a renovated Meiji period (1868–1912) shipping agency, it exhibits materials related to the history of Shimotsui. In addition, there is also a restaurant and shop that sells processed marine products.

北前船が寄港し北海道や各地の産物をもたらした下津井の港、参勤交代や金毘羅参りの人々が訪れた下津井。歴史的な町並みが保存され、その一角に歴史を伝える施設がある。かつての廻船問屋の建物を活用している。蔵のカフェ、日本遺産の展示施設、売店などもあり、下津井の歴史と文化が１時間ほどでわかる。

- A 15-minute drive from the Tamashima Interchange on the Sanyo Expressway. This museum stores and displays nearly 3800 pieces of material including classic documents from the time during the Edo period when the Mabi region was controlled by the Okada Domain. Come experience the past of your ancestors and learn what life was like for the region and the people, the industry they developed, and what they did to prevent disasters. Mabi Town is also where mystery novelist Seishi Yokomizo came up with his character of Detective Kosuke Kindaichi when he lived in the area during World War Two for three years and three months. The museum features a Seishi Yokomizo Corner with mementos on display.

Okayama Areas
Overshadowed by Hiroshima to the west and the Kansai region to the east, Okayama is an easy spot to miss but a nature-rich gem where the Seto Inland Sea laps at its toes and peach and grape farms complete its interior.
