    This is a hot spring facility for day use located a 60-minute drive from the Nanki Tanabe Interchange on the Hanwa Expressway via National Routes 42 and 311. It is in the heart of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail country, in a corner of the former shrine site known as Chikatsuyu Oji. Deep in the mountains and surrounded by abundant natural beauty, it offers a view of the Hikigawa River from the window of the bath. The water in the baths is sourced from a gently alkaline spring with a slightly oily texture and is said to impart a healthy shine to black hair. There are only indoor baths for both men and women, but the water is piped in directly from the spring (although heated a bit, since the spring is lukewarm in its natural state). The water contains sodium, hydrogen carbonate, and chloride spring. Customers can dine at the adjoining minshuku (family-owned inn), Chikatsuyu.

    This hot spring bathhouse is located approximately a 30-minute drive from the JR Koza Station. This day-use hot spring, famous for the nearby Kousen-ji Temple and its Birth-Blessing Gingko tree, is located upstream of Koza River. Its name is read as Mimeyu. It is a simple hot spring with a slightly lower than average temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius. It is said to be effective for rheumatism, nerve paralysis, and recovery from illness, etc. It is an extremely popular hot spring because of its location in a mountain valley and the high quality of the spring water.

    This hot spring is located approximately 15 minutes by car from the JR Kii-Katsuura Station. The building is situated near Kumano Nachi Taisha, alongside Nachi River, which runs beside Prefectural Route 46. The first floor is home to Kumano Food Factory's direct sales store, Kamasen, and the second floor houses Kumano no Sato day-use hot spring. It is an alkaline simple spring, which is said to be effective for nerve pain, muscle soreness, joint pain, etc. In addition to the bathhouse, visitors can also enjoy the outdoor bath and family bath.

    This footbath is located on the right-hand side, immediately outside the JR Kii-Katsuura Station. It is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and one of its most attractive features is that one can easily relax in it while waiting for a bus or a train to arrive. The footbath has constantly free flowing spring water, and is a great way to relieve the fatigue of travel in a short time. It is also very popular with tourists. The wooden station house-like building is very noticeable, and there are benches in front of the building which can be used to take a short break. It is one of the three footbaths in Katsuura.

    This footbath is located approximately a three-minute walk from the JR Kii-Katsuura Station. It is situated next to Nigiwai Market, in Katsuura Fishing Port. The station house-like building with its emerald green roof is very noticeable, and one of its most attractive features is that visitors can bathe their feet while looking out towards the fishing port and the surrounding sea. The seating is made from Kishu wood, and around 25 people can sit at the footbath at once. The footbath is open every day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is one of the three footbaths in Katsuura.

    A hot spring district situated along the sea at the foot of Mt. Nachi registered as part of the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range World Heritage Site. Notable for its over 100 source springs and abundant volume of piping hot water, in 2014 the area was designated the Nanki Kumano Geopark. Hotel Urashima's Boukido Cave is a large hot spring bath facility housed inside a natural cave carved out by the raging waves of the Kumano Sea. The Hotel Nakanoshima's Kishu Chomon no Yu is a seaside outdoor bath from which bathers can enjoy watching the waves break right before their eyes. There are many renowned baths carved out by Mother Nature herself here, and Kii-Katsuura Station's strolling garden is dotted with footbaths.

    This hot spring district situated along the Yomura River in Wakayama Prefecture was first developed between 1965 and 1974, making it a relatively new one. The district is known for having the largest outdoor bath in Western Japan, as well as its private reservable outdoor baths for families. Situated in a naturally beautiful area with fishing and river sports, visitors can also enjoy staying in a bungalow, or camping. The waters of the area's sodium chloride hydrogen carbonate springs (chloride springs) are said to treat such ailments as rheumatism, nerve illnesses, and wounds. Drinking them is also purported to have such health benefits as alleviating chronic digestive diseases, diabetes, and gout.     名前が仰々しくこれまで素通りしていましたが、きのくに中津荘の無料クーポンを利用して行ってきました。内湯1つのシンプルな日帰り温泉施設です。 施設の近くにキャンプ場があるため、夏場の土日は混雑と施設の方がコメントしていましたが、訪問時は平日のためほぼ貸切状態でゆっくり入浴できました。場所が若干不便なため穴場かと思いますが、露天もなく景観もイマイチでした。
