    A 20 minute drive from the Shiroishi interchange on the Tohoku Expressway heading towards Zao. This is one of two public bathhouses in the Togatta Onsen hot spring district known since ancient times as a destination for religious mountain climbing and therapeutic bathing. The bathhouse' men's and women's bathing areas, enshrouded in the fragrance of cypress from Aomori, both have a very hot and a lukewarm bath. The bathhouse also has a free footbath outdoors. The waters of the bathhouse' sodium calcium-sulfate chloride springs are soft and said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, rheumatism, and women's diseases.

    遠刈田のシンボル。共同浴場です。皆さんの言う通り、めちゃくちゃ熱いです!草津よりも熱いのでは?と思いました。共同浴場裏の山には温泉神社もあるので、登ってみてからここで汗を流すのも良いです。

    This is a day-use hot spring bath resort in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. It derives its name from the 1000 cherries that blossom on Mt. Kagobo of Tajiri. In addition to the main bath and waterfall bath, which draw their waters directly from the source, there is a Finnish style sauna to enjoy. The outdoor bath is the largest in the prefecture, and can be enjoyed sitting, half-sitting or even reclining The restaurant offers over 40 dishes at all times and the beer and soft cream is especially enjoyable after a hot bath. One can also relax in the rest area where zabuton cushions are available for guests.

    週末の夜に訪れましたが、賑わっていました。ただ、温泉も建物もゆったりとした作りなので混んでいる印象は受けませんでした。 温度の違う風呂が中と外にそれぞれありました。寒い日だったので、暖かい風呂がうれしかったです。

This day trip hot spring bathhouse is located on Tonton no Oka, a naturally lush hill surrounded by undeveloped woodland on the western side of Ogawara Town. The bathhouse constantly replenishes its tubs from a source spring ""kakenagashi"" style and without the use of any added waters. The waters of the bathhouse' natural spring are alkaline and soft; gentle on the skin, they are also said to have skin beautifying properties. The old fashioned Japanese home-style bathhouse building is filled with warm, welcoming wooden fixtures. Customers can enjoy one of two bathing areas - the stone Ishi no Yu and the wood Ki no Yu; which is the men's and which is the women's bathing area alternates on a weekly basis.     エンジョイパークで遊んだ帰りに寄りました。日曜日だったこともあり駐車場はいっぱいでした。停めるのに苦労するかもしれません。 施設内はひろく、ロビー・食事処、お風呂、和室の休憩室があります。貸切風呂もあります。お風呂は広く、露天もあります。 ロビーではお土産がたくさん売っています。子供の遊ぶスペースもあり。 くつのロッカー、脱衣所のロッカーともに(使用後返却されますが)100円かかります。

    山形側の蔵王とは泉質も街の雰囲気も違う、宮城側の蔵王、遠刈田温泉。ごぢんまりとしていて、泉質も含めてあっさりした温泉街です。
