This daytrip hot spring facility is located in Shirahama Town, Nishimuro County, Wakayama Prefecture, and its charmingly plain appearance reflects the old wooden warehouse it was built in. There are two open-air baths as well as an indoor bath with a Showa-period ambience where you can stretch your legs and relax. The open-air baths are surrounded by trees that are beautiful in all seasons, with cherry blossoms in spring and rich foliage in autumn. They sell “hot spring eggs” at the front, and there’s a Wakayama ramen shop too.

A hot spring which retains an old fashioned public bath house feel located along the popular Shirarahama Beach. An old fashioned attendant’s booth stands at the entrance. Bathers can look out over the white sands and blue ocean nearby from spacious windows, giving the baths an airy, open feel. In summer, the bath house bustles with swimmers from the beach cleaning up before heading home.
