    The Shitenno-ji Temple is a Buddhist temple in Osaka City. Founded by Prince Shotoku in 593, it is the oldest officially-sanctioned Buddhist temple in Japan. The Temple is laid out in the most ancient Japanese temple architecture style, with the Chu-mon gate, Five-storeyed Pagoda, Kon-do hall and Lecture hall arranged in a straight line running north to south, encircled by a long corridor. The Temple’s stone Torii gateway is said to be the entrance to the Pure Land (also known as the Western Paradise), and is designated as an Important Cultural Property; this gateway was rebuilt in 1294. The Shitenno-ji Temple is famous for the “Doya-doya” Buddhist memorial service which is held there on January 14th every year.

    "This Buddhist temple is located close to Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka Station in Yuhigaoka-cho, Tennoji Ward, Osaka City. Founded in 593 by Prince Shotoku, the prince is said to have read the Srimaladevi Simhanada Sutra to the common people and the temple enshrines a Srimala statue. A statue of Ragaraja, known as Aizen Myo'o in Japanese, was later enshrined in the main temple hall, and thus the temple is also nicknamed the ""Aizen-do"" and is believed to grant worshippers luck in finding love and marriage. The temple's two tier pagoda, rebuilt thanks to the mighty samurai lord Toyotomi Hideyoshi, has been designated a National Important Cultural Property. There is also a sacred tree on the grounds said to provide luck in love which served as the model for Matsutaro Kawaguchi's novel ""Aizen Katsura."""

    愛染堂勝鬘院の本堂の裏には、大阪市内で最も古い木造建築物と言われる多宝塔。境内には映画で有名な愛染桂の木などがあります。

    Shrine in Saishoyama Park located where Sanada Maru, a small fort of Osaka Castle, once stood. Built by the Shigeno clan, a descendent of the Sanada clan, during the Edo period as a memorial for Sanada Yukimura and his son, Daisuke. While the struggling Tokugawa clan did not allow placement of a gravestone, it was finally erected on the 400th anniversary of his death in 2014. The gate is adorned with the six coin Sanada family crest and the grounds are decorated with red banners. Gravesites for the Kyoto Mimawarigumisho (special patrol branch) and Mannaoshi Jizou statues who mend evil connections are found on the grounds.

    玉造稲荷神社の見学後に三光神社やその周辺を散策している時に立ち寄りました。山門脇に真田幸村出丸城跡の碑があるように、大阪冬の陣の陣地跡だった場所です。本堂などはそんなに特徴的でもないので、あくまで真田幸村とのゆかりを感じる場所かなという印象です。

    玉造稲荷神社の見学後に三光神社やその周辺を散策している時に立ち寄りました。いわれは必ずしも定かではないそうですが、どんどろ大師とも呼ばれます。すぐに目に入るのは母子像の銅像で歌舞伎のどんどろ大師 門前の場の舞台に因んで作られたそうで、その方面が好きならいいかもしれません。
