- Located on a backstreet of the Shuzenji hot spring town in Shizuoka Prefecture’s Izu City, this hideaway-like café has a simple yet elegant interior that catches the eye. The classic menu features chiffon cake that uses kurogome black rice, a specialty of Shuzenji, and it’s comforting gentle sweetness is appealing when taking a rest during a stroll. The Izu-gyu Hayashi Rice that is full of soft, stewed Izu-gyu beef is also popular. Guests can sit on the terrace seats with their pets and pets can also be brought into the café so long as they are in a carry case.

- Café Hirono is a Japanese-style café located near Tokko no Yu hot spring in Shuzenji in the town of Izu in Shizuoka Prefecture. This cozy, charming shop serves cake, other sweets, and light meals, and customers can relax while viewing the Katsura River from seats near the windows. It receives high marks for menu items that use local specialties, such as vanilla soft-serve ice cream infused with wasabi and Zenzai (sweet red bean soup) with black rice mochi. Black rice pilaf is a popular lunch menu item.

修善寺でお参りした後にこちらで抹茶のソフトクリームとチョコソフトを頂きました。普通に美味しかったですが、静岡名物の抹茶よりもチョコソフトの方が印象的だったかもです。室内でも飲食できるので寛ぎたい方はお部屋でゆっくりとソフトクリームを頂けます。

チェーンで全国にありますが、美味しいです。特にコーンパンがお気に入りです。こちらの店舗は夜行くとかなり種類が少ないように思うので、昼間に行くことをお勧めします。
