- This old school brewery established in 1885 is half way along Sanmachi-dori Street, northwest of Takayama Castle. Their hallmark brand of sake is known as “Dashi. It’s made with techniques from the Edo period (1603-1867) and a Hida area brewing method known as gento kanjikomi. They also have their own sake brands like the refined Hanakobo with extracts of abelia and begonia that you can taste in their warehouse. The shop offers desserts made with local sake like cheesecake and soft serve ice cream too, and women also really enjoy their products.

こちらの川尻酒造場は、観光客で込み合っている通りから１本東側の通りにあります。この通りも古い町並みの通りで、酒蔵が多くありました。 川尻酒造場に入ってみると、先客は１組だけ。にぎやかな通りにあった原田酒造や船坂酒造と違って、店内はひっそりしていました。こちらは古酒を扱う蔵のようで、こちらの酒はここでしか手に入らないそうです。熟成古酒「天恩」などが有料試飲できます。古酒らしく、淡い褐色に色がつい...
