    An art museum located in Nozuta-machi, Machida City, Tokyo. The museum displays works by Maurice Utrillo, Auguste Rodin, and other artists as well as examples of beautiful minerals and rocks from around the world collected by NAC Co., Ltd. founder Yoshiyuki Nishiyama. The rose quartz sphere displayed in front of the museum has been recognized by the Guinness World Records organization as the largest in the world.

    "This is the nickname for the building aimed at revitalizing the central area around Machida Station. ""Poppo"" means ""center"" in the Tama dialect. Because it is in the center of Machida City, this building was developed as a facility playing a central role in developing the area. Cafes and a wooden decked square are on the first floor facing the street, with many people taking breaks there while shopping. The building also houses many meeting rooms and event spaces, and farmers' markets and craft events are also held there on occasion."

    This is the collective name for the plum forest and trees scattered along Old Koshu Highway and the Kobotoke River. Its promenades include the Yuhodo plum forest, Sekisho plum forest, Tenjin plum forest, Arai plum forest, Yunohana plum forest, Surusashi plum forest, Kogesawa plum forest, Kobotoke plum forest, etc. In March, the best season for sightseeing the area, it is one of the best spots to view plum flowers in Tokyo, with about 10,000 red and white plum trees displaying their colors over about 4.5 kilometers. The Takao Baigo Plum Festival, which is held every March, includes stalls, food shops and koto performances at each plum forest. Among them, the Kobotoke plum forest, said to be the birthplace of Takao Baigo, is a must-see.

With special approval from the Egyptian embassy, the museum also has ancient Egypt-themed exhibits featuring the Sphinx and mummies, and the museum shop offers goods imported directly from Egypt.

From Miharashi Square with an elevation of 123 meters, you can look out at the scenery, the panoramic view encompasses from Tanzawa to the Tama Hills, and you can get a clear view of Mt. Fuji on good days.

    約5年ぶりくらいの訪問です。前に来たときはとても美味しかったのですが今回は普通に感じられました。 塩気が濃く感じてうまみが少ないように感じました。 味が変わったのではなくて歳をとったので味覚が変わってそう感じたのかも知れません。 コロナ対応で入り口にはアルコール消毒はありましたが、店内は雑然として入って右側などは袋小路で換気も悪くコロナ対策として不安を感じました。

The popular shop is often full of temple visitors and tourists at lunchtime. Everything on their soba menu has kamaboko fish cakes with a mark of the characters that make up the shop's name. Their Fukuyose Soba with fried tofu and shrimp tempura is especially popular, as is the Kaiun Soba with nori seaweed, sesame, and bonito flakes. Table seating, tatami mat floor seating, and private rooms are all available. Their banquet menu has the Shinsengumi set featuring their Kaiun Soba along with soba sushi roll and tempura sushi roll. They also serve delicious Japanese sweets like soba dumplings and warabi mochi rice cakes.
