    Tokyo Minato-ku Akasaka 9-7-6 Tokyo Midtown/Garden
Located in Tokyo Midtown, a multi-purpose complex directly connected to Roppongi Station, this museum holds exhibitions about design. Unlike traditional museums it was created to “think about daily articles from a design perspective, create objects and propose new ideas.” It is mainly host to organized exhibitions but also features talks and other events. The architecture of the building was designed by Tadao Ando and makes for a very unique exterior, such as with its roof made of one folded iron plate.

Went there during a short walk around Roppongi. There was an exhibition, but due to time constrain, only managed a quick visit to the shop. Although small, but the design is nice and situated in a...

In addition to its standing exhibition of works by key 20th century French painter Georges Rouault, the museum also holds a variety of special exhibitions and art events. Making use of next-generation lighting, the museum uses approximately 50% less power than would otherwise be needed for a facility of its type. Note the museum’s environmentally friendly “gentle lighting.” This lighting environment brings out the true beauty of the pieces on display. Be sure to visit the museum shop as well.

For a modern life, this museum depicts very useful things to educate common people to choose from various options. Though the term Museum is a kind of misleading but in reality, this facility...

"A five-minute walk from Shimbashi Station, the History Exhibition Hall has a modern facade that retains features from the Meiji period. Opened in 1872, Shimbashi Station was Japan's first railroad terminal. A reproduction has been built on the same location. Nationally designated as the Old Shimbashi Station Historic Site, the area below the station is well preserved. Part of the first floor is glass-sided so visitors can view it. The station building's stone platform and ""mile zero"" marker demonstrate the station's history and offer a retro enclave in the heart of the city."

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
