The Museum of Modern Japanese Literature was created to gather and protect literature that had been scattered during the confusing time after World War II. Now it houses over 1.2 million books and magazines. Browse a part of this massive collection in the exhibition room and read pieces in publicly available digital form. Enjoy special exhibitions, listening to lectures on literature and exploring documents about literature.

    駒場公園内にあります。50年を超える歴史ある文学館。今は、当初常務理事だった伊藤整の歿後50年展をやっています。直筆の原稿なども展示してありました。併設のカフェもおすすめです。

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
